Yup, that fixed it. Thanks! Now I'm having a different problem though - I'll play for about 15 minutes or so and then the game will crash for no apparent reason.

I do in fact have my task bar set to the side of the screen. Let me change that and see if that fixes it.

I just purchased Elemental. The first time I loaded it up there was a problem with the mouse cursor. Whether I use my external mouse or the track pad on my laptop, the cursor won't go further than about an inch from the left side of the screen. As I try to mouse over to the right, the cursor moves erratically up and down, but won't go any further right. I don't have this problem with any other programs.

I'm a longtime 4X (Civ, GalCiv, etc.) fan, and looking around for a new game to enjoy. I've heard a lot of good stuff about Sins, but I don't really understand the gameplay description. How does "RT4X" actually play out? Is the real time aspect more like the frenetic click-fest that accompanies Starcraft and similar titles? Or is it more like the "strategic" real time gameplay of Europa Univeralis 3? A related question - are there any "After-Action Reports" or
