It seems the GOG store has been updated in between. The DLC is now available again for a separate purchase. As for me, the problem is solved [e digicons]v_v[/e]

Sins of a Solar Empire Definitive Edition is now updated on GOG with the missing DLC Minor Factions (yay)... but... it is sold 89,99€ and can only be sold as a whole. So it seems that to get the small DLC that was missing, I have to buy everything again... I already own the definitive edition on GOG as it is part of my library. I have everyth

Maybe I was too enthusiastic expecting a clear answer/closure. I tried to PM community management 2 months ago as they promised to look for some info... I know my message was opened and yet never answered. That's another example of abyssmal communication. GOG users are not worth a DLC, neither are they worth a reply.

Well, I'm afraid we won't have any unambiguous communication on that topic anytime soon :( GOG users are a minority and it's easier to continue to "ignore the issue" than replying about it which would keep the topic/problem alive and visible. However, I would rather have a clear and official "this won't happen and here is why" post. Customers would be unhappy, but at least this would give a chance for us to understand and move on (unless that post already exists and I missed it).

Hello guys, sharing the sentiment here (expecting GoG to be on par with Steam on SoaSE). @Shismnavigator said on another post he will try to have a more official/unambiguous statement on the topic soon. Considering the delay since the first release I don't raise my hopes too much but good news is always welcome.

Thanks for your replies. About the harmony tech, I am surprized you have to win the game afterwards (I didn't have to when I got the same one for the Vasari). But I'll give a try tonight, I must have a save with most of the tree ready. Any clue if the "kill 1000 pirate ships" one is working fine ? Can I do it by killing my opponets first, build defense and look at the pirates crash against them ? I have a doubt whether any achievement can be unlocked after someone actu

Hi, I decided to try to get all the achievements for sins as I had some time ahead of me, but it seems some of them are broken and cannot be accessed by following their description. For instance : "Destroy 20 planets in one single game", I thought it was related to the vasari sttc power (I had already bombed countless planets on previous games with huge maps before so to me it was something different). If yes, then it probably does not work as I received the achievemen

Still about change the "MaxEmpireWindowStackSize 999" I just saw the difference in the way mines are displayed in the empire tree (per packages of 10 usually, now per packages of... a lot more). It makes a lot of room which is great. So now I believe I can do the same with ships. I'll see in the control panel where to update this because so far I have only mines that stack.

"I just edit my Rebellion.user.settings file and change the "MaxEmpireWindowStackSize" to 999. This allows you to give orders to all of a specific type of unit very easily." By the way, I just edited the file as suggested but I am not sure I noticed anything changed. What should be different ?

I updated the first message of the topic with all answers gathered so far. A couple remain pending or still under debate. About some of the latest answers provided: 14) "Send him credits or resources. This is by far the fastest way to get the relation up to a cease fire. Then follow through with envoys once you have the cease fire." => Well, you need a minimum <span style="text-decoration: underline;

Thx, About 8 c ) It's in line with what I've just found in the tips "Refineries can exploit owned and adjacent resource asteroids. Asteroids can only support so many refineries at a time though." About 15) I have not been able to reach peace then break the treaty so far. But the manual mentions a "moment" after breaking peace treaty where both parties cannot fight each other. "Afte

Thanks, so I have been through the manual again and found some confirmations as well as some new questions (sorry). I will gather everything in the first message to make the whole thing easier to read. But before that, one confirmed answer from the rules. I have reached half of the rulebook so far... it's pretty dense. 5) A sword near a player in the pirate menu means a raid is being done on the player. So on the game I was playing, someone was probably bein

Hey, that helps already :) 6) Good, so searching "randomly" is only for the local bonuses. I wonder if they are worth the price of a full search which is quite a lot. Generally I do this when I'm swimming in credits but it never happens in the early game. 8) Haaaa I never noticed the refinery quota ! Thx 9) That one is funny because I'm pretty sure I tried it once and did not notice anything. Maybe the planet concerned was already in the middle o

Thanks for your replies ! 1) Understood, that must be it ! 2) It just happened to me again. A rebel fleet arrived at my planet. Most ships passed in range of the orkulus and were destroyed. The rebel planet bomber ship did not and had time to blow up the whole asteroid while the orbital station had already destroyed other ships long ago. Then he attacked the orkulus and died. I checked engagement range and it was set to maximum (whole gravity well). Auto attack

Ok, so there are some things that are either bugs, or ergonomics issues... or maybe it's me... :) 1) Why sometimes rebel "white" vessels (that do not belong to any faction) arrive from nowhere and start attacking my planets ? That's not an allegiance issue as far as I can tell because my planet stats did not show anything wrong with allegiance when it occurred. 2) Why, when those rebel ships arrive, my Orkulus star bases look at them until they finish bombing my planet

Thanks for all the clarifications. Too bad steam has become a must for this game... I will purchase it online then, the main purpose of a box was to be independent from the system. If it's just having a box to have a box, that does not help me much :( I will follow your link and try to purchase it now. I hope the price reduction applies worldwide (I'm in France). EDIT: special pricing seems to work, cool !

Thank you for your reply. As far as I can remember, I wanted to pre-order the game but I could only find "digital preorder" with $10 off the regular price (which is why I did not do anything waiting for a boxed version). I probably missed that offer. I may wait a little more to see what they offer in this version and if it will be opened to everyone. Any idea if the collector/boxed edition will be steam free ?

Hello, I have just noticed the latest standalone/expansion is out and... On the one hand, I am a total fan of SOASE since the first release. On the other hand, I always try to avoid digital sales (like steam) because - I've always felt more comfortable with my own box (I feel independent about the online system) - I do not like the idea that I purchase something I cannot resell later if I want to - I like collecting real stuff (not vaporware
