https://www.wincustomize.com/download.aspx?skinid=9382&libid=32 That one is as close to the original that I can find in the gallery, and after changing the extension from .bootskin to .zip it's protected with a password when I try to extract the bootskin.ini.

I could do that if only I knew the passwords for the protected boot skins. Every boot skin that looks almost original in the gallery that I downloaded is password protected when I change the file extension of the .bootskin to a .zip file.

I know that was kind of dumb of me to ask for the link, I should have just searched myself. Anyways, would any of you guys know what ProgressBarX, ProgressBarY, and ProgressBarWidth positions are for the stock/original Windows XP boot screen? Cause I need to put it down in the .ini file for the bootskin that I'm creating and it's just a little modification to the stock/original Windows XP boot screen. But the progress bar is the exact same as the stock/original Windows XP boot screen.

Can someone please give me the link on the tutorial on how to create a boot skin for Windows XP for use on BootSkin? Also, does anybody know what the exact x axis and y axis point for the original Windows XP boot screen progress bar is? Thanks!

OK, so I finally get BootSkin to recognize my custom bootskin. But only this time when I reboot my PC, the colors on my bootskin are distorted except for the progress bar. I specifically made sure that my screen image was a 4-bit 16 color palette. What could be the problem this time?

OK, thanks for the link! But after making the bootskin.ini, then putting everything in a .zip file and then renaming the .zip extension to .bootskin, it doesn't show up in BootSkin when I import it. Would you be able to help me out?

If I provide someone with the bitmap images for a custom Windows XP boot screen, would you be able to make me a .bootscreen or ntoskrnl.exe file containing my bitmap images so that I can use it as a custom boot screen on StyleXP?
