So is it possible to backdate the game in any way? I assume not from the fact I've been looking for a way for half an hour, but found none from either Star dock, or Steam. Originally I had multiple versions of the game stored, but steam tomfoolery caused my steamapps folder to need to be removed and reinstalled, and I was too short sighted to keep in mind to back Sins Rebellion up. Well I reckon from the fact that the Vasari are running from whatever enemy destroyed their empire, and forced the remainder of their species to up and flee for however many hundreds or thousands of years they have been running for now. I also reckon that war isn't over at all, that we play as the vanguard/main fleet of the Vasari, and the dark fleet that gets mentioned so often, supposedly the remnants of their old war fleet, isn't as scattered as the game makes out. ah, brilliant, yes the file i had used must have been outdated, its working now. also, dont worry i just said binary file since i thought thats what bin stood for, i kept it in the mod folder ^^. thanks for the help, i shall start on that new race tomorrow after trying out my new super starbases LOL.
i got it from the forge tools three entrenchment folder, i did put it into the diplomacie's binary. thanks for the advice and the pointer to that tutorial. oh and thanks for the welcome too ^^
i recently started modding sins, diplomacy, but i have had a couple of wierd problems: i created a mod that only had one change to the original game and that is that i edited the starbase data file so that it had 20 upgrade points rather than 8. for some odd reason it has completely ruined the starbases though, when i build one it neither has a body nor appears in the sector. if i double click the icon to find it, it takes the screen way off the map but still displays nothing. conside
