Diplomacy wont start up in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

So, i downloaded the newest update for sins of a solar empire diplomcy, and now, anytime i try to play it, it just doesnt do anything. it shows my computer load for a second, abd then nothing happens afterwards. Please help
