Subjugating Assault: Additionally each time an enemy ship is stolen the Coronata gains 30/45/60/75 experience.
Not so sure I like that as it could skew your targeting priorities :- You could spam exp by capturing low value targets (scouts/colony/light frigates & corvettes :- worth less or same) & destroying high value ones (heavy/carrier cruisers which are worth more).
... there are several techs that increase it, the penalty for the artifact would merely reset the controlling faction to closer to starting values.
There's not that many techs affect growth rate, the Centauri have the most**, but they're a mix of +ve & -ve values (upto -+20%). Most races have one or two techs that give them a +5% or +10% increase, so I might increase Triluminary's rate to (at most) -20%.</

I've changed Triluminary, from the initial proposal, to give a slight growth rate penalty to reflect the "Fewer Minbari being born into each generation" . (Lennier) A +2 relationship bonus seems to be large enough, +3 maybe over the top - you could end up with a Narn/Centauri alliance. A few ideas for artifacts The Great Machine : -15% research cost & time taken, large increase to that planet's health Triluminary : +2 or +3 relationship bonus, +3% growth rate for all planets in your control. Ikarran Vault: +10% hull, +2 armour, large bonus to hull regen rate (maybe Sins rate) to reflect organic tech , -1 relationship (Ikarra was somewhat xenophobic) Eyes of Z'ha'dum : Crews of hostile ships entering this planet&#3

Hard to say. Although I'm not a major fan of Steam I'd have to say there is no evidence of it causing the crash. I would imagine that most of Steam's code is executed by Rebellion when it starts up, with less being executed in a single player game. I'm guessing here, but I would suspect if you set Steam in offline mode, then it would have even less of an effect. Most likely causes are 1) Error in the mod somewhere 2) Bug in Rebel

FWIW: The dependency of one tech to unlock them all, including techs on other trees, seems to cause problems with the AI too. If an AI builds the wrong type of lab it cannot research this founding tech, eg Minbari "The Early Years" or EA "Dilgar Spec Ops", and then cannot research anything. AIs in this situation tend to just dig in at their homeworld.

When thinking of abilities I've tried to stick to the series, eg "Forward interceptors on the Clarkstown are down" One possibility for the Narn is to use the example where a damaged G'Quan cruiser protected a refugee fleet from a squadron of Vorchans by manoeuvring in between (can't remember the episode - although I'm part way through watching Series 2 - Narn/Centauri war has just kicked off) Not sure how to approach that though, maybe something like the Radian

If the OS crashed, that's either a graphics/sound driver bug or (less likely) you've had something over heat. It's very hard for user-mode processes, such as games and desktop apps, to crash a protected mode operating system - so it probably not a fault of Sins nor E4X. I'd check that your drivers are up-to-date.
