That's why I thought it could be more of a problem because people could decide to keep their money in order to have something to play during those months, aftertheChristmas release rush. Err... I know that SotS2 will be released in a couple of days. I'm speaking of X3-Rebirth, and even though it's not an RTS, it stands more clearly in the way of Rebellion than Skyrim or others because it is still about starships, open environments and economy (although it's obviously NOT in the same field of SoaSE). SotS2 comes out way too early and, imho, has its own separate fanbase. It is still a worthy opponent, though, because it's the same kind of game as SoaSE.<

Also, the next 2 months will be filled with games. I KNOW that an RPG can't be compared with a 4X game, but 60 dollars look like 60 dollars whatever you buy. With Elder Scrolls 5, The Old Republic, Arkham City, Sword of the Stars 2 and Anno 2070 we already have a plethora of games that will require loads of hours to be completed, which means that people won't feel the need to buy something new AND won't have the budget available.
