The 4.10.1 patch for SoGE has been released!
Now on to some questions, I have been playing with the NR almost exclusively (F you Disney, its still canon in my heart) and noticed that the last 2 cap ships (the ones you have to reasearch) are a bit underwhelming, I get that they are basically cruisers put there so the AI will make use of them, but the cost and fleet resources needed for them are almost the same or higher than the MC90&n
The Cylons light basestar is too big for the pathing for this unit type.
Out of curiosity, what's it's unit type and max bounding radius? Edit: Derp, Lavo here, forgot to log out of this account.
A patch fixing the movement bugs in the previous version has been uploaded to ModDB and is awaiting approval.
SoGE R1072 has been posted to ModDB and is currently awaiting approval.
R1021 is now avaliable to the public. Moddb approval pending, this thread also has several mirrors avaliable for those who do not want to use Moddb, or want the mod right now.
We've put out a small hotfix today; it addresses the supercap spawning bug for all factions, the (research/ability spawned) Liberator crash bug, the CIS Sensor Scramble bugs, adds in vanilla Sins' skyboxes (now SoGE's deep space skyboxes), tweaked the game options (ex. income speeds, ship speeds), adds in a series of new random maps, the "Quick" series, which are tailored to allow for faster matches, tweaks mines' AoE damage, and improves mine clearing abilities; mine sweepers
Hrm. I see. It might be that your computer simply cannot handle SoGE's largest map. Last possible aide I can think of is to lower all graphics to a minimum, turn off shadows, etc, at least when you are first loading a new map.
The moddb links are now live.
SoGE R955, for Rebellion 1.04/1.041, has been released. The moddb upload will be up soon, until then use these links: http://www.mediafire.com/?5136w515l64b0j0 http://www.mediafire.com/?ri0ahpw00v153h0 http://www.mediafire.com/?a5668a94oa0m6xk <a class="p
Yes, though I don't think it changes which player.entity file it uses, it seems like it can be made to make mutually exclusive research paths. In the reference files there are some techs with DeclareFaction in the name.
That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! Edit: Whoops, Lavo here, forgot to log out of this account.
As the SVN server's restoration date is still uncertain, and thus the date of the next full release is uncertain as well, a hotfix for 2.1E, which addresses the Vong starbase's issues has been released , along with some new models.
I for one am interested in seeing how moddable Titans are, and what they can do and entail. There's a serious amount of potential there, and I'm very interested in seeing how it goes. Also interested in seeing if you can have multiple Titan types per faction, like you can with capital ships, or just one. Edit: Bah, Lavo here, forgot to log out of this account.
Patch 2.1 has been released for SoGE, get it here.
However, when I click the link it takes me to a dl of SOGE 1.0E with minidump fix. Is that right? I dled it and it just minidumps me.
While the text of the link is the correct url, for some reason the actual link had a different url, this has been fixed. Apologizes.
It is our pleasure to announce that after years of hard work, 2.0E is now available for download.
Sins of a Galactic Empire will be out by January 10. We're aiming for a release by new years; though due to delays and what have you, the 10th is the guaranteed date.
So, all of the download links appear to be broken, and I've gone back several pages and not seen a new one. Is this still available?
This thread is old and outdated; please refer to the current thread.
Preview images of the NR fleet; currently in the beta; the Prowler-class Reconnaissance Vessel and the Nebula-class Star Destroyer .
We've looked into the 1.0E minidump issue a bit more; it appears some ships which are not even buildable were calling for an ability which does not exist. This has been fixed and the patch in the OP has been updated, link here for reference.
