Yeah, the AI was being rather mean. It's TEC light frigs had 19 damage each. That means their damage was increased by about 80% after 50 minutes of game time. The AI's that I've defeated in the past are lending this guy their recently rebuilt planets as a matter of vengeance.

If you take the mod to rebellion you're either going to have to nerf wail of the sanctified (at least that's what i believe its called, correct me if its wrong) or reduce the population of the Dyson spheres and such since a wail from a planed with 8000 population or so would be absolutely devastating. Or they could make it so that the natural orky counts as a ship of some sort so that you could make another starbase in the gravity well and have double the protection. That would be easier to program than letting you upgrade the starbase you capture since the game files do not naturally allow you to do that.
