Based on that 'tweak' could you not simply create copies of say the two examples you mentioned (the rebel/loyalist advent) and just re-label them as Vasari? Or is the application restrictive to just the 2 species atm? P.S. Im not personally going to try any of it, id rather wait. Just curious though...

Are you saying Iran and North Korea are space pirates? [e digicons]:O[/e]
I only wish they had a titan carrier in the game... I love strike craft!

Sure Titans are a lot more powerful but frankly if your opponent is stronger than you then they should have every opportu
The big divide between competitive and noncompetitive games folks. Against the AI (on hard and above gets resource cheats) yeah destroying its titan doesn't matter much, and they'll have wasted quite a bit on starbases on defenses so you at most get to take 1 or 2 planets before it comes back. In multiplayer, if you destroyed a titan you probably destroyed its fleet too, which gives you a free run to attack the enemies homeworld. If your t
I get choppy gameplay when large numbers appear on the screen. Ive had it through all the sins games and my PC is way advanced enough to handle it. Not sure if its a memory issue with the game or what but it does suck. I just slug through it tbh...
Thought as much... Guess I wont be using that one then...
Slightly off-topic or perhaps on-topic... Im just playing through a game and I start wizzing the camera angle around as my Advent Loyalist titan starts smashing the crap out of everything it can target when I realise that the top of it (in front of the hula hoop) looks very much like a Vasari head. Now perhaps the advent have some sort of sub-species that may look like it but im pretty sure its a Vasari head. Now if that is indeed a Vasari head th
I picked this ship on a previous game thinking it looked like it was half decent. I couldn't see exactly what it was meant to be doing and as such ive discarded it. Perhaps its bugged but I still don't understand what its meant to do... Just seems like a waste of a cap slot to me...

I actually agree with the OP here... Regardless of his motives I think he has a very valid point. The fact that he has backed it up with Gene Wilder makes it more concrete... I see no reason as to why you should keep titan levels. Just as capital ships lose theirs when they pop you should lose it with titans. I see no reason why it should remain. YES its a detrimental thing to your fleet and power overall but you should never give the opponent the opport
Im seeing a lot of threads being made asking for nerfs for features which are working as they are intended. Im not sure if there are a new crowd of gamers coming to Sins who have never played a decent RTS before but Pirates and the bloody culture system is working as it should be. The game isn't designed to be easy so you can steamroll everyone you play. The game has many different systems and many different possabilities for victory which is what breaks Sins appart

I guess in that sense that is the sole reason as to why they are there though... Its a contraversial decision if its ever made and I can see people going crazy over it. I do like the thought of upgrading the hangars. As they stand they are a waste of time and the only time I actually use them as a TEC player is when they have the flak upgrade and im facing someone with a lot of strike craft. That being said giving them a third 'frigate' option would be madness. If anything having them cost a bit more yet allowing them to field more strikes would be better. If you really want something to patrol then let t
I like this idea a lot! Im not so sure about the OP's idea though. Perhaps making the turrets we already have more useful would be an idea rather than making them useless by improvising mobile versions. Perhaps you could utilise different strategies depending on the race. For example the TEC would use some sort of planet-to-space attack like suggested or perhaps their buildings would all have small arms on them (very wea
ah poor turn of phrase. I mean that the AI seems to surrender when it still has quite a lot of stuff/planets left and even when victory conditions arent met they still surrender. And I'm not entirely sold on the splinter faction concept. If they actually became multiple factions that warred with each other then yes. But why would you give a defeated faction something? Becoming vassals of you, giving you chunk o
Just think of the leftovers as splinter factions, I do.
Wouldnt it be awesome if they did in fact become splinter factions? You already have a load of TEC splinter factions that guard the un-colonised planets. What if when you defeat a player the remaining forces get splint randomly into x amount of splinter factions. Those factions in themselves couldn't really do an awful lot but yo
Personally ive never had an issue with pirates. Sure they can sometimes come with huge numbers but if they do I tend to just focus on colonising everything else around the target planet and just rebuild it all once they leave. Sure its not ideal but then they are there for that reason, to hinder and generally cause problems. I do however agree that they are a bit bland in the sense that its an 'ebay' like auction at the end of the timer fo
