My question is... if I felt fatigued by Trinity, do you think Rebellion breaths enough life to make it feel 'new' again?
This is just my new opinion, but I don't think so. Although there are a few features that definitely make the game feel new, it is still Sins at it's core. There are new techs and ships that do liven up the game, but it still feels the same by in large. Think of Sins Rebellion as m

Siege could use a slight buff in my opinion. With corvettes in the game, it's hard to make a raiding group of siege frigates cost effective, as they are unable to outrun corvettes. Personally, what I would appreciate would be a reduction to fleet supply, say by half?
Personally, I suggest that ICO makes it like valve and introduces hats to sins of a solar empire! Imagine the wondrous hats you could equip on your capital ships and titans! :D
15) I believe it's a minute and 30 seconds. 17) No rollback possible. As soon as you get a fleet logistics upgrade, it's permanent. So be careful when getting those upgrades, otherwise you might end up killing your economy. 18) From my experience, pirates attack the closest planet to their planet base. That is of course assuming it's just regular bidding. With research, you can hire the pirates to attack specific planets. 19) Kostrua cannon disables all str
Yes the early game has changed. Corvettes are extremely powerful units, and are good against just about every kind of unit. In groups of 30+, they tear apart most frigates. Because of their damage and their speed, they are typically the go to unit in the early game. Really, those 30 cobalt frigates of yours should have been corvettes if you wanted to stand a chance. Alternatively, you could have made about 10-20 flak frigates. Flak frigates are extremely good against corvettes and ar
You...YOU SICK PERSON!! Now I have to choose between this, and the wallpaper with the Tec Loyalist fleet one for my desktop background!! But seriously, awesome job dude. I love it.
Sins Rebellion or Sins Trinity? Sins Trinity always had issues with steam.
Do not buy this game. Sins has never locked up on me. Now that Steam has its evil hands on it, nothing but lock ups. Stardock go f your self.
Really? For the hundreds of players playing online and the thousands playing offline, Sins Rebellion works perfectly for us. A shame it doesn't work for you though. @Skote Truth be told, if I throw the same amount of resources a player puts into a starbase, then I can defeat it. However, that would require me getting a couple fleet upgrades, which puts a massive drain on my economy. As opposed to the starbase, which doesn't cost any fleet supply and therefore does not drain the vasari economy. If the starbase were to cost 1 capital ship crew and a 100 fleet supply to field, I think that would be quite reasonable.
To be fair, I agree that the Dev's should've put more work into balance in the beta. I mean, it is the beta right? At the same time though, I could argue that most games now-a-days hardly release with balanced factions. Really, the only thing that matters, is that the devs are working on it.
Sorry for saying this again, but parts 2 through 4 I cannot extract. It says they have borken files in them, mainly sound files. Anybody else running into this issue?
Several of the files in downloads 2-4 are broken for me, and I can't complete extraction. Anybody else having this issue?
I personally disagree with 2. However, I do like suggestion number 1.
@Ekkko_Tek To be fair, for all we know, the entire netcode could've been reworked behind the scenes. While it may look the same, they have redone the code and used steamworks in it's place. Of course though, I don't have decompiled code of trinity and rebellion, so I'm not sure just how extensive steamorks has been integrated into the netcode.
Do you know that steams knows every single piece of software that's installed on your system by windows? Can you tell me why the fuck it's any of their business? If the purpose of steam was to thwart piracy, lol, I could maybe go with that, but honestly I'm not retarded.
Ok, that's true. Should I care? Don't get me wrong, Valve is defiantly in a position of power, but unless you have proof that Gabe Newell an

Has it ever occurred to you just how quickly the Marza's Raze Planet ability annihilates planets? Very quickly. Two Marza Dreadnaughts with level 1 Raze can annihilate a Homeworld planet within a minute, give or take. I admit I've only used this opening a few times, but they've worked pretty well for me. <span styl
In my experience, I've found three ways to deal with corvettes. More Corvettes, Flak Frigates and Capital Ship Abilities More Corvettes: Sounds crude yes, but
I use to have a real negative view towards steam but over the years its been nothing but great. It being a steamworks title is a bonus and not a negative to me personally (achievments,etc..)
The feelings are likewise for me. At the same time though, I could argue the reliance of steamworks makes it a steam exclusive. Even if you buy Sins Rebellion at gamestop, you still have to download steam to play it. In that se
Fair enough. I suppose the curx of the issue here is the Gamers Bill of Rights. FYI: http://www.reghardware.com/2008/09/01/gamers_bill_of_rights/ It lists the 10 points near the bottom. Also, two revisions were made to it: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/10/17/stardock_revises_gamer_bill_of_rights/
Vasari underpowered? LOLWUT? EDIT: I see you changed the OP :P Anyhow, I think I'll skip. But when those matches are over, mind posting replays? :)
I think one reason why they choose steam was because of steamworks, and all the already available netcode. Now I don't know if this was the reason ICO choose steam, but I know other game companies have switched over to steam for this reason. Here's more info on steamworks: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steam_%28software%29#Steamworks For example, take supreme commander 2. From what I read, Gas Po
Ya...the tutorials are utterly horrible. Don't get me wrong, they give you an idea of how to play the game, but they are incredibly bland. Furthermore, they don't help you adapt to online. I suggest you ask if someone could help teach you, or watch some youtube videos.
There are two things I would like to see: First, move stripped to the core to tier 8 and increase the research time and cost by four times. This way, rushing stripped to the core is a far riskier. Second, make stripped to the core take three minutes to complete. If the planet is lost due to siege frigates, then stripped to the core is canceled.
