Is there anyone in the know ever responding to our queries on this board ? I've stoped playing this game since it won't let me play the changes edited using the Forge but I'd really like to know why this is the case. G.
Grallonsphere
I changed the Aurelian sector map so that the Advent and the Vasari have each their own system (blue star for Advent, green for Vasari) while the TEC factions share 2 yellow stars systems. My Advent home world is a desert planet (coord 105, 165). If I open the galaxy file in a text editor Player 0 has indeed its homeworld at 105,165 in a star system with a blue star at its center. Yet whenever I start a game with that map I end up in one of the TEC systems with a terran world. <
Well it's started again.... I think I'll just uninstall and get a refund. :( G.
Guess what ! I removed the game once more - this time cleanig up the registry but also the "Impusle" bul*hit software ( I hate those "bundle-all-in-one-do-it-yourself-software-package") and Lo! the game is working again... ! No more slowdowns, no more freezes, no more crashes... I'll be downloading future updates manually thank you very much ! G.
Whenever I try to run Sins This error message pops up:C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Temp\SinsDump\Sins-v1.00-2008-06-26-22-35-12-2120-2308.dmpThe game then proceeds to cease running and crashes out. After this started I deleted all temporary files related to Sins, uninstalled the game, then reinstalled it; somehow, it continues to crash. Does anyone have a solution for this.
That's exactly the message I get. I can launch the game up to the starting menu but then
I bought this last week - instaled it - ran fine. The only thing that wasn't working right was the galaxy forge thingy where I had set up one planet to be Player0's home planet in one particular galaxy file and the game kept giving me another default whenever I chose that scenario. Anyhow -- yesterday the game was still working but today I launched it and it crashed every single time I tried to select that map I edited.. So I removed the game and reinstalled it.&
You could check to make sure that the spawn probability for your home planet is at 1. If it's at 2 or something it will only have a chance of spawning, but at 1, it will always be there.
It is - at spawn factor 1 that is. And it is not in the Custom Map - besides I overwrote the one I edited (Aerolian Sector). This sucks ! G.

I don't understand how this works. I mean I've loaded the Forge and changed the starting planet of Player0 to Desert since I intend to play as the Advent, I've also edited the galaxy file to increase the starting resources well below the limit (9999 - I increase the crystals to 1000). When I select the map I make sure I'm team1 - with the pale blue color - and yet whenever I load this godd*m game I don't start where I should and the crystal increase doesn't show. I must have
