On Fences download page it says IconPackager is compatible with Windows 8: https://www.stardock.com/products/fences/download.asp See screenshot:

Aha, I used Stardock Central so that's why I didn't see that info.
I wasn't sure what's supported in Windows 8 and what not because Stardock's products do not have indication whether or not something is compatible with Windows 8 (or any other OS) or not. There is basically only download button. As far as I know only thing compatible with Windows 8 is beta version of WindowFX (with darkening effect behaving funky sometimes). Fences don't work either... Stardock Central while it's great and I love it, is not really 10
Symptom: default Windows 8 icons look wrong. For example "shield" icon for some .exe files and for unknown files (also for files without extension) etc. Here's how to fix it: 0) backup your registry, just in case (I recommend also to create a restore point) 1) start regedit 2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer and expand it 3) find "Shell Icons" key (note: this key does not</
It's not surprising you can't reproduce this bug because it occurs only sometimes (but when it occurs it's persistent). OS is Windows 7 32 bit at work and Windows 7 64 bit at home (happens on both). OD 2 (plus) version is... I have no idea as it has no About option anywhere. ObjectDock.exe properties say Product version is 2.01.743.

In the screenshot mouse pointer is hovering above calendar icon in Tabbed Dock. I should perhaps mention that I am also using WindowFX 5 beta. UPDATE: and here is another screenshot (mouse is over recycle bin icon) with Tabbed Dock pla
I know this bug has been reported by users before but I just bought OD 2 and from the forum posts it seems to me you really don't take bugs seriously. Problem is that the text with names of icons (which displays when mouse over icon in tabbed OD) is always *under* maximized windows thus not showing itself. Please fix this.
As far as I'm concerned you are the Lord of Rejected Features [e digicons];P[/e]
That's not an issue. In some cases for some fences I don't want any scrollbars at all (hidden or not), that's why I ask for the autoresize feature (as a per-fence option).
Thanks for the suggestion Rosco_P , I watched the video and seriously considered the Tiles but in the end concluded I wouldn't make much use of it under my work scenarios.
Fences are useless if they can't autoresize when I add an icon to them. Scrollbars in fences are hiding their content which is not always desirable behavior. I'm glad I didn't bought the pro version (which is by the way too expensive for what it's really worth, there is other Stardock software which is cheaper and delivers more value). @ Zuba
I looked around but couldn't find similar posts. I would like an option for Fences to automatically resize themselves (within user defined WH constraints) so that I don't have to do it manually, especially for auto-new-item fences (pro feature). Is it possible?
I would like to see animation option for minimize & maximize that can animate windows according to their real positions in taskbar (like native Windows anim does).
Hi! I really like the option which darkens the inactive windows (i.e., everything except active window), but I would like an option to not darken the console windows. For example when I'm debugging something in C++ (or Python or whatever) and have main window of my running application and debug console next to it - I would very much like for accompanying console NOT to be shaded when GUI window of my application is focused. What do you say? Is
