Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, June 29th and we will be returning on Monday, July 6th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.
Tbh, I'd be happier with "fixed starting positions" actually working, consistently. No matter having configured all steps ("edit players" > Team Index + "planet" > "ownership" + "ishomeplanet" & finally "randomisepositions" = false) I can still not reliably have me and my 3 mates start in the preferred positions as a 4v4 against the AI...there's always one the of the AI stuck on our front door in just the wrong place :(

Would be useful if Ironclad could confirm if this is actually the case (borked beta in which case I will wait for a supplementary update) or if its a Steam Update/local issue...and if the only solution is to fully uninstall & reinstall. I have the same issue as OP, have tried backing up local game content and restoring, no joy, and have tried flicking between "keep game up to date" and "not" to see if I can force Steam to re-update...no joy. S
