Building a starbase on your homeworld and upgrading it with one upgrade so that it cannot be bombed does not cost that much.

I too have noticed that advent do not seem to be quite as powerful as they were in trinity.

Nope. I figured out what happened. For some reason when I load a game, all the visuals become unchecked in the user interface options.

I encountered a really annoying bug today: It appears that whenever I try to load a game, the game loads but all the icons are gone. I can see all the planets, but I cannot see the structures, the ships or the phase lanes connecting all the planets.

I just can't wait for them to throw in at least one other race so there will be something other than TEC to fight against. I like TEC the least just because they seem to be bland for my playstyle. But that's probably just because I love the aggressive style of the vasari with their advanced tech.

Is there currently an estimate on when we'll be able to play vasari and advent in the beta? It's sorta lame that all my opponents are the same race right now.
