Nevermind! someone figured it out- somehow my diplomacy short cut was linking to the regular game :l changed the path and all is well now.

Help no speed buttons in HUD in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

So uninstalled the game, reinstalled done everything I possibly can- but there are no speed buttons I remember them being there last year, :| Anyone have any idea why they vanished?
