That's what I did, using the bin to text editor in one of the stickied threads here, it resulted in crashes when I applied the mod. Perhaps I was using the wrong bin to text editor and if so would you mind linking the one that works for the current version of rebellion?
Hello I want to change the Advent Loyalist Titan's look to that of the Advent Rebels, or well I'd accept anything else but it's current design. I have tried using the bin to text and text to bin converter to try and do this, but it results in the game crashing upon startup. And simply renaming the .entity files leaves me unable to build the Titan as a loyalist I do not have access to the rebel titan research. Is there a more updated tool to edit .entity files that may resolve this
Wish the AI in general had a better late game. Like on unfair the beginning is really hard, since they are cheating and you have to play fair, but once that expansion stage is over you pretty much can't lose.
Hmm I am coming back to this project and my Notepad++ seems to not be able to convert the entity files properly. Opening them up as entitys just shows black boxes, and when I save as .txt the file is a jumbled mess, which I take to be a fault on my end. Is there a plugin I need for Notepad to make it convert smoothly? As well what would you use the ConvertDataRebellion.exe for?
First thank you so much for replying and being helpful! When I edited the Entity files like you said, I was left with a txt file that didn't do much of anything. I tried replacing the Titan with the opposite (Renaming PsiRebelTitan to Loyalist) but that prevented me from building it due to research. I replaced the research and it was unlinked, and therefore still unusable. Is it possible just to change the visual, since that is all I really desire? Seeing as I think this is changi
Given the recent release of the game this might be difficult, but I was wondering if it was possible to change models for ships in Rebellion. I like the Advent Loyalists but dislike their titan, so I'd love a way to swap it to the sexier Eradica model. Is this possible? And if so, how?
Regarding large map slow down, does it always happen on the big maps, like on Kingdom of Heaven or Balanced Resources I notice a massive slowdown as the game reaches mid game, even though I have a rather powerful system.(550 GTX graphics card, windows 7, and 8 gb ram) even with the efficiency pack installed. Is this normal?
