Say what you will, the best looking ships in the game are the Vasari, and the best looking Vasari ship is the Antorak. Other Vasari ships I really like the look of are the Skiranta, the Vulkoras, the Lasurak and the Ravastra.

Going with Rebellion, I have to say the only factions I am remotely interested in are the TEC Rebels (because the Ragnarov rapes face - and also happens to be named after me :D) or the Vasari loyalists, especially on massive maps. With the Vasari loyalists I don't even have to worry about defence - I just life suck every planet I come across and permanently remove it from the game.
