LOL im actually in the middle of a game right now and boxed in a corner against (hard) vasari. and was wondering the same thing. in previous games i have unlocked the super weapon then i thought coo. (delete building make something else) after i was salvaged i was unable to build or use the super weapon. but i have yet to experiment with it. so i have no clue about civilian tech tree. all i do know is that if you have a building researched then get rid of the tech building you are unabl

simplest question to answer in the world. have money pay them off. outcome... NO PIRATES. then when they send half their fleet some where else (or some of it) take the base ergo no pirates and another fort. (with good perks). just to add to bad you cant add at least one frigate constructor to be able to build pirate ships. i like having a few they look kool ^^ or just turn them off. but use the first idea if you want them on.

[quote who="Arilias" reply="19" id="1585391"]Fleet tactics do matter in Sins. Here's an example: Pirate bases are ridiculously hard to take. Since raiding parties spawn and return to the base after completing the raid, by the time you're actually in a position to take the system they've got a hundred of everything and the place is just a black hole. Unfortunately, you have to destroy the pirate base in order to stop the attacks, and pirates are a huge drain
