Well, it definitely all looks good on paper.... [e digicons]}:)[/e] But, I'll be honest, I've always envisioned the race that's chasing the Vasari as being OP, and as such would have to be an AI only playable faction... otherwise MP would be all screwed to heck. :P

I think the difference here is one's definition of "friend". A lot of people (in my experience) consider anyone they talk to as a "friend" ("Oh, I have thousands of friends!"). I think FB kind of blurred the lines on what a "friend" really is.
Orchestration, Sinkillr is a troll, ignore him. He's the only one being hostile... trust me. ;) The thing is, we like Sins pretty much as it is. Yes, having new things added would be great, but so long as it's within the realm of what makes this game what it is. To do as you suggest with the races kind of diverges from the path of what Sins is. I hope that makes sense (and that others agree).
Eh, only reason I ever had a FB account was because my Ex made me create one. Not long after we split, I found I was using/paying attention to it so little, I deleted it. Haven't looked back since. :P
Orchestration, While what you're suggesting for the racial "perks" is nice and all, it has its place, and Sins isn't that. Games like MoO, GalCiv (I think... based on the one time I played it :P), etc would be ok, but Sins started off as a hard set, "these are the races" kind of game. It doesn't fit to change them in Sins II, or any sequel for that matter.
@Orchestration, Your first 3 lines I agree with. After that, no. For this game, the species and what they're "good" at is locked in.
Reply #31 of this thread (Where will the game be in 6 months?) https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/455436/page/2/#3482805 EDIT: And you know what? Rereading the OP of that thread, he was talking about multiplayer. So yeah... Tachyon is it.

My real question is, though, have any other security companies verified this one's findings? It's hard to say. While on one hand I want to comment that he should've said "will make Stardock players happy," he does go on for another whole couple of lines repeating how Sins is going to benefit from something. But if we're not getting updates anymore... how do we benefit? He also mentions their challenge on "how to fit "more" stuff." Fit more what stuff? Stuff in the game? That'd be a 32 64 bit challenge. Some allow for replacement of that stuff. My gaming rig I built in 2009, let's see if I can remember most of the specs: Core 2 Duo 3.0 GHz 4GB RAM 2x nVidia Gforce 8800GTS 512MB EVGA MoBo using nVidia 790i Ultra SLI chipset
I certainly hope there's more coming.... While I will admit the part I commented on I am glad to see Stardock doing, it doesn't (as a Sins player) make me happy. Just makes me happy as a PC game player.
Hmm... shouldn't one offer up the names of those sites without the need of signing up? Maybe I'm a bit ignorant on internet/website security and how it all interacts, but I'd think that would be the correct course to go.

Re: Borg - Oh, their ships didn't even have shields? Whoops... I didn't realize that. Ok then! But yeah, I did read the website and the description on the factions so knew going in that the Borg were an OP faction designed purposely to require multiple players to take out.
Sins does not have that kind of accuracy mechanic, and all fighters have the same chance to get hit. It is very fast though yes, and the entire squadron has superior stats to the X-wing even though individual X-wings are more durable.
Considering Sins doesn't have individual accuracy categories for the various kinds of strike craft, that seems like a necessary evil to "simulate" more firepower needed to take them down.
Yeah, I've never liked how easily Titans counter Frigates. The concept is ok... but the abilities and what they affect, not so much.
I dunno.... When do you figure the last time was he got his tetanus shot?
