Do you need the auctions to have a break? - can't you just pause the game? (I don't have the game yet, so that's why I don't know stuff like that) I'm neither for or against auctions!

I'm just curious, because this game looks interesting. But for how long do a game last on average? Is it intended to be short games less than 60 minutes? I'm a single player only! I like games that lasts for a long time with a lot of gameplay content. Grand strategy game and 4X are preferred. I like Galciv3 and Sorcerer King - lots of gameplay and it takes hours to finish. Is this a game for me?

Galciv 3 HoI 4 Sorcerer King At the Gates And a war game with the depth of War in the West, but easier to learn and with better graphics... just dreaming, will probably never happen :(

I'm somehow lost in this game, although I can figure out most of the mechanisms. But how do I build any of the starbases modules? Do I have to research first? I can't even mine anywhere or anything?
