So who else thinks that ashes of a singularity is the "test game" for the oxide engine, so that when they make sins 2 it'll be perfect? I hope so!
Ashes at the outset seems to be ALOT of flash, tons of units onscreen as a SELLING POINT. Sure big fleet battles are fun, but not at the expense of strategy. I would rather Sins 2 be focused that every frigate counted and was valued over just another

Had a crash about an hour into game..its late so I'll look into it further. Did everything correctly I believe LAA and all that... Might have to lower setting....

I never played SC2, though I did play SC1 on my Genesis. I loved the cool spinning star chart ...is that still part of the SC series?
I want and will buy a Sins 2. It just bothers me that Ironclad all but wrote off RTS genre as a dying breed, and went off to make a MOBA. And only cause it died spectacularly will they come back with Sins 2 with their tail between their legs...... The Beatles expanded their music but didn't make a Jazz album.....stick with what you know...or have a audience ..
I guess a question for Brad. Any plans in the future for a RPG? Mass Effect type or a top down like Baldurs Gate? Thanks
Couldn't you just do a rerelease of Starcontrol (since most people under forty will have no idea what that is) in HD with extra levels? Since the originals that you own would be able to include the original aliens..
They got their hand tied to their ongoing FTP project.
No they stopped supporting the title at the end of July.
Our National nightmare is over........ No its not................
I guess no kickstarter .....:)
I have fond memories of my old Herzog Zwei Genesis game....any similarities ?
Now that the five year SoaDA debacle is over will Ironclad choose to coming running back to the community (Kickstarter) that they all but abandoned or will they go the published route?
Aren't most sales of a game in the first couple of months? So improving the AI to a smaller and smaller audience at somepoint makes no sense. And if the AI can't handle the base game what happens when you throw in DLC's and all the new toys?
Pre ordering in a digital-age is for fools.
Even if the game succeeded, Ironclad went in a direction and didn't really care or ask the Sins community to come with them. Being on these forums all the years I never once heard someone say" Hey multiplayer lane game" would improve my world! Well at least with all the passing of time moving turrets should be a non issue. Anyone wanna a bet to the start of a Kickstarter for SINS2? I say 6 months..
Ironclad made so many mistakes, IDK where to start.. They made a game based on the type of game they enjoy playing with friends... not necessarily a good business move. They had the Sins name, but No tie- in whatsoever, Vasari,Advent,Humans involved in their MOBA?.. .No. Core audience for SOASE was primarily single player/ strategic/ ships go boom/ and they said..we are bored we're outta here.. Game was Early Access buy in
I have a couple of comments, not that anyone cares but I'll wait till the body is at least cold.

Hey guys.....Not a GC player just thought it would be a way to see cool new ships in our Sins universe. Not into turn based games and GC looks like Sins with homework if that makes sense.
I'm not a modder only a leechy player but an idea popped into my head. Can models created in GC3 be put into Sins as a tool for you creaters and used by us takers? [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]
I can't decide who's worse....fanboys or trolls.....
The only reason this game is even on my radar is cause until it's DONE, Ironclad is prevented from moving on to SOASE 2.
