Since I did the fix I've had no issues, not one crash having played 10+ games succesfully for long periods (3+ hours) Game runs smooth and trouble free. I tried running a different game earlier (TL2) and it said a file was missing I'm running 64bit so I didn't have the x86 installtion of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 . I've installed this and (fingers crossed) 3 games played haven't had any issues with sins.
I've noted it says on Stardock site 296.10 nvidia drivers are required and as you stated my gpu is unsupported. Steam should say this on their purchase info
This is rediculous. Yesterday 2 full games, lasted ages no crash. This morning 2 games crashed within 10 minutes of each game. This isn't fair to other players and it's driving me nuts Is it down to the drivers? Steam won't refund.
I've played numerous games fine before steam. As soon as steam is present this is when the issues began. Also steam do not do refunds. I'm going to run the version of sins without steam while i go out and see what the results are. I'm also playing newer games such as torchlight 2 with no issues so I doubt very much it has to do with drivers. Is there anyway to play the game without steam on

I bought Sins about a week ago. have completed maybe one game without a crash. My entire PC will freeze at a random point. I can't minimize, force exit etc the computer is locked up so I have to force a hard shutdown. The game seems to run fine 90% of the time and the cause of this is deffinatly not due to a high strain on the PC. It has happened 1 hour into the game and it has happened during multiplayer setup and 5 minutes into a normal game
