I suggested a course of action and gave specific reasons for it, and even prefaced it with an understanding you might take offense to it. Then I followed it up with a discussion of game specific observations in response to the last comment in the thread that actually referenced the game. You responded with insults and threats. People get so upset at the suggestion that they don't deserve a hand out of other people&#

I think you are looking for any opportunity to explain to everyone why you are a victim.
Whatever you think kiddo. I asked for game advice and some was given - I mentioned an issue with the mouse and the thread was derailed toward that - then it was further derailed when I chose to explain why I couldn't afford a new mouse. What are you looking for in this t

You don't and can't understand what it is like for people that have chronic illnesses that leave them in pain every minute of their waking life? Do you think WE WANT this? Personally, I am on over 2000 dollars a month of prescription medications and even that isn't enough. Both my rheumatologist and neur
I sympathize, I have a variation on fibromyalgia myself (as do my mother and my grandfather), but fortunately it only flares up from time to time. Right at the moment, however, I'm pretty much down for the count with gallstone-induced cholecystitis and secondary chronic pancreatitis. I'm waiting to get my gallbladder taken out an

Quoting Paladin0228, reply 16 Secondly, I can't tell what model this mouse is. It has an HP logo on the top and I sure as heck don't see a model number It was a generic mouse that came with a HP PC I bought several years ago. No longer have that PC [ HP's suck.. ] but I do still use the

Take the ball out and look in that compartment. If all else fails, look at the base of the cord(If not wireless) it may be printed there for some god-awful reason. If it's not in one of those places, it's probably those faded words you saw. -Huzzah! EDIT: Also, if you know
Then it's a driver issue, almost certainly. I don't know your level of technical expertise, so forgive me if I'm telling you things you already know, but drivers are bits of software that instruct the computer/OS on how to interface with bits of hardware. Usually, a mouse, for example, will work with the OS in general with generic drivers, but it may not work with some programs, such as Sins. You can get current drivers from the mou
Yes I can, only SoaSE is having trouble.
This. Also, did you check your ingame settings? Did you accidentally lower zoom sensitivity for example?
yes i hit reset settings just in case

Thanks u2 ^ However, I am still curious as to why the mouse won't scroll in and out. It worked fine for me on World of Warcraft ( I quit in November )

So I finally got around to playing through the Tutorials to try and gain a basic grasp of the game and I also wactched a couple of LP? videos on Youtube. Once I had finished the generic Tutorials I had intended to pay GoaFan77's custom mod for further learning the ropes..... However, I have a problem that makes me not want to play. I am having lot of trouble with zooming in ( to get a better view of ships and battles ) and also zooming bac

If you can get Rebellion, you should because the others are obsolete once you have that.
Late to the party, my post right above yours says I went ahead and grabbed Rebellion..
I wish you would have posted sooner. I think Rebellion is the better deal as it has everything, so if you do like it, you have the difficult choice of whether to "Upgrade" or not.
Doh. I didn't realize Rebellion contained Entrenchment and Diplomacy. Fail on my part. However, I must point out that I hadn't had a reason to post here before so [e digicons];P[/e] At least Trinity didn't cost much and ma

During Steam's massivle holiday blowout I saw that SoaSE:Trinity ( and Rebellion ) were both on sale. I bought Trinity since it was the cheaper option and because Rebellion says its standalone so I don't feel a need to buy it until I am sure I like SoaSE. I have played other space 4x games in the past, although much older ( like Masters of Orion II: Battle at Antares, Stars! ) as well as earth based empire games like the Civilization series for the PC I'm a complet
