Cool and excited, but I'd love to see Stardock also acquire Spaceflight. Loved the PC game way back when and the Sega Genesis remake. More commerce, mining, negotiation, and exploration than the usual shoot em ups.

I'm also looking forward to WB for Win8, but I'd rather have a working product than one that's going to have people constantly posting about things not working. So, I'm fine with waiting until the 2nd quarter. I know WB will come out, because it's one of the main utilities that Stardock makes. It will be worth the wait. Although, I'd also be excited about testing a beta [e digicons][/e]
How is the comparative resource (memory/cpu) load to DX and Vista's gadgets?
Both programs look really cool, but what concerns me is the need to fork over a small fortune for Windows Vista Ultimate Edition to take advantage of them. What about the lowly users of Windows Vista Home and Home Premium? I really wish MS would open up the program to other Vista versions as well. Does anyone have stats on what are Vista sales by version?
Ha Ha "Real Genius" Quote. Wonder if they'll have the real-time panning that google has.
I saw a story about Political Machine on one of the local news channels here in NYC as well. It's getting great exposure.
Two features I'd really want are: - a Most Recently Used Programs Tab, sort of the equivalent of the MRU Programs on the XP Start Panel. - folder filtering or a most recent documents with filtering or size limiting. I know I can add the Recent folder under the User Profiles to get Recent documents, but that folder can grow so large. So far though, I love the program.
It caught me by suprise when I noticed WB doing that when I switched skins (I love subscribing to Object Desktop!). It morphs very smoothly. Very nice piece of eye candy.
Koasati, thanks. I hope that it does become very useful, and again, any features anyone wants or any bugs that anyone notices, let me know.
Sorry, I didn't know anyone else was working on it Yeah, I made it a toggle so you can turn the mask on and off, so you can position the image, so it's supposed to cover it. Thanks though. If you have any good ideas, let me know, maybe we can work on it together.
I hope that stardock won't be upset with this... but I made a little program that lets you work with bootskin ini's graphically. You can load up an ini, easily position the progress bar and set the width for the animation loop then save it. Simple concept, but atleast you don't have to go crazy over positioning by trial and error. It's still a beta, and I plan on adding some more features, but let me know what you think of it, and if you find it handy. http://www.chrisnyc.com/downloads.
I've been hoping for a Trillian section for like a year now. I know that right off the bat there will be a few skin uploads for it.
Oh, speaking of Sonique skinning. A friend of mine, Syphen, is really making some sweet skins for the new sonique. A few of them have really cool animation effects and color themes and stuff. So make sure you guys check them out I heard that skinning for sonique's new engine is really great and intuitive and stuff, so I'm sure we'll see some great skins for it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/ima
WOW, it's a about time! I know they've been through a lot though. Funny thing is, I could remember waiting for the beta while I was a freshman in college. I graduated about a year and a half ago (total time: about 5 years). Microsoft Top That! Atleast their alpha's were pretty darn good. Thier skinning engine is also pretty sweet. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/events.gif" border=0 A
They could do what they always do. Buy Macromedia then magically release a product called Flash.NET, part of which is integrated to the OS and the OS can't function without it, but you can buy a version that's upgraded and integrates nicely with a WinServer or Office. However, none of it will be open source and you'll only be able to view it on IE or other MS products.
Microsoft isn't helping with the computer problems. They just released a patch for a problem that allows malicious users to see what's on your computers memory from within the network. Can't wait to see some of the exploits that will work with this bug.
Wow, those were the longest few days of my life... Glad wincustomize is back
At least this solution is better than having no access at all.
Just read a blurb somewhere that the next release of ObjectDock is going to let you customize the forground and background... hmmm I think Wincustomize is going to have to add another skin area.
This ROCKS! I've been waiting for this for a while now I heard rumors about it. I hope you guys keep working on it.
Oooh, I'm the first one to comment. Definatly money well spent (subscribing to WinCustomize) I couldn't get through yesturday, probably because of the server issue. It was like cutting off an arm. I'm glad that the site keeps getting smoother to log on to, despite the huge number of hits daily. BTW, what's that number up to? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmi
I totally agree, it's a waste of time... I end up coming here atleast a dozen times a day, when I could be doing something productive like twiddling my thumbs or staring at a drab, ugly, plain desktop... hehe. If WinCustomize is a waste of time, then I hope I can waste A LOT of my time here
Trillian .74 and Trillian Pro 1.0 just came out last night. I was wondering if/will/could WinCustomize start offering a Trillian section. Thanks
Can anyone recommend a boot screen switcher for XP (Not the Logon Screen) Does anyone know if Stardock is working on one? That'd rock
