I play just fine on my laptop (which is three years old now). Your machine seems comparable (although lack of graphics card may be an issue) so I can't see why you would have any troubles. Specs Below. RAM: 4 GB DDR3 CPU: Intel i3-370M GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 420M VRAM: 1 GB HDD: 750 GB Screen: 15.6" - 16:9 - 1366x768
Very minor UI glitch in Single Player -> New Game -> Large Maps The normal version of the Battlelines map as the 'C' (for Competitive) in the top LHS corner of the map's icon.
I think that minor issue (not really an issue as much as a practical joke being played on those with OCD) has been there for awhile. But I may be mistaken.
I have read the whole thread, I still don't understand what this Z-axis business is.
Space has three dimensions, namely x, y and z. x and y dimensions are equivalent to forward/backward (x) and left/right (y). Z axis would be vertical or up/down. The game doesn't work well with the 3rd, vertical dimension (aka the z axis). Just some examples include mines (which are deployed on the xy plane i.e. with minima
were the bugs fixed for this game? can star bases shoot units that are above/below them now? If not I'm not sure if I even want to play this game anymore. Another things the developers should of done was when you set mines, the mines are dispersed onto the vertical and horizontal plane--like how it is in the game Homeworld. I'm regretting my purchase of this game a little now.
<

I was leaving it more open ended Despite Zombie's fascination with errr... zombies , I am accounting for a game that is PLAYABLE, from start to finish, without so much lag to discourage people from not wanting to finish it. I do realize specs account for playability, and I can handle much more that (I have a 4+ Ghz CPU for Christ's sake), bu
Most of you if not all have surely played one of the different home-world games and are acquainted to the resource collection mechanism in the franchise. As a Vasari Loyalist feature only, maybe even only applying to the evacuator and titan. An ability similar to that of the orbital refinery that would allow refinery ships to collect resources in adjacent gravity wells could be applied to the host ship. I think this

I use 3DS Max for making the model, export as an obj file, import to Softimage and do my hardpoints, scaling, merging, etc.
Also does anyone know where I can get a version of 3DS max that works with the Sins Plug-in?
Your question implies piracy, which I doubt is something Stardock and the forums support. I will say if you are a university student you may be able to access student versions on a trial basis from Autodesk through your university/college.

I would say either TEC faction, the Rebels sure do make it easier if you have pirates but the Loyalists are great if you're going to turtle for any length of time as they (Loyalists) get nice bonuses in their own gravity wells in addition to double starbase (useful against AI) and Novalith spam.

I agree with Greg. Seeing's how the Novalith can one shot kill unupgraded planets I don't see a problem with Deliverance engine being able to do the same to outer worlds.

If you don't have the DLC then you may be unable to play your map if you have DLC planets placed or if you have Random planets (I believe there may be non DLC random planets but I don't know for sure). Others have had this problem and solved it so don't worry just yet.

Starbases screw with the AI. I find playing against Hard AI I have no shortage of combat situations. I'm currently playing Grindstones against all Hard AI with a Normal AI ally (might as well just be me out there haha). I've Novalithed a few enemies into oblivion, destroyed a couple of titans, decimated vastly larger fleets (again, Starbases wreck AI). All with my Marza (starting cap) and one fleet research. I have the second smallest fleet (the only smaller fleet is the Normal AI who

Yea, I would like to be able to give ships, structures, etc. to my ally but I don't know how I'd feel about whole planets (the option would be fine I just doubt I'd use it). For example, I'm allied with a Vasari player and I manage to Board a few Vasari ships, these ships don't get any bonuses from me but I could give them to my Vasari ally who would be able to apply all sorts of research upgrades to them. Likewise, perhaps my Advent ally needs some extra c
