I think you'll need more money if you want to have a computer with which you can play the latest games at highest settings. That said, for an RTS I think you should pay for a *good* CPU and lots of memory. Otherwise you'll regret your buy. But if you want to play a FPS, then you should pay for a good graphics card and you can suffice with a lesser CPU. If you want to play both, then you'll have to get the best of both. But I think then you&#3

So why did the Mammoths disappear after the last ice age? This article says it's because the eco-system which the Mammoths preferred never recovered after the ice age. Instead of the nutrient plants they relied on, there were only woody and less nutrient plants left and the population of Mammoths couldn't recover. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/02/140205133252.htm &nbs

I wasn't really referring to money, but to something like a walk on a sunny day, or a funny movie that can make you laugh. Something relaxing. Money isn't relaxing imho.

A cloud sounds interesting, maybe I'll use it one day. You could encrypt your files before storing them on the cloud, that's a little bit safer.

Thank you for your daily dose of healthy paranoia :) Also check the complete links when you hover over the text. If it points to a website with only numbers in it, then it's most certainly spam. Avoid it. Also, do not visit porn sites :) Also do not visit sites with annoying interfaces with lots of agree buttons. I got scammed a few euros that way, because I bought too many things that I did not want to buy.

It's owned by Disney now, so it's a safe bet that the disappointments will just keep coming for you. But instead, maybe you could try to see them as the enjoyable movies they are, instead of what they could've been...

Intelligence doesn't matter; we are trapped in our universe and when the universe ends, so do we. The only difference between us and animals is, that we are aware that we're trapped.

Ah, the Caribbean. Did you know the Dutch still have some "colonies" there? Or well... they're not really colonies anymore I think. Some are independent, and some have got the status of municipalities or something... well anyway we got all this obsession with safety standards and such, and the Netherlands have a large airport near Amsterdam, but despite all this, St Maarten has this strange airfield, which start just beyond the beach. It's really weird. <a href="http://www.you

Yes this is really mysterious. If snakes don't need a plane to fly, then why were all those snakes on *that* plane a few years ago? And why didn't they all jump out of the window when *he* got pissed? But you wonder why those snakes want to fly at all. Maybe they just enjoy it? Or maybe they want to hunt flying squirrels?

- Did you move your computer around while it was in sleep mode? - Can you detect your hard disks when you search drives for partitioning? Control panel / administrative tools / computer management / look under storage/disk management.

I have a Samsung SSD (about 250 GB) and it works well. It also had software which transferred my operating system to the SSD, without problems. Check the speed on the SSD package. Originally I intended to buy a 120 GB SSD, but I read on the package that a 250 GB version is twice as fast. So I bought the 250 GB instead.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/01/140123102429.htm This shows research about forests and a "carbon-starvation-brake". It's pretty interesting: less CO2 means plants are less efficient at breaking up rocks, and fewer exposed rocks means there's less absorption of CO2 from the atmosphere.

I think it's scary because I think such a thing can become a kind of poison that can be tailored to kill just 1 person, or 1 group of people that share a certain DNA trait. For example, if some evil genetic scientist wants to get rid of all people that share a gene that causes noses to be long and hooked, then such a thing is actually possible nowadays! Maybe it's not easy to administer (yet) but it's a first step towards such a bio-weapon.

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/01/140130110953.htm Researches have designed RNA that can split very specific types of DNA. They've used it to kill bacteria, but it sounds quite scary to me. And I thought such things like targeting specific strains of DNA was science fiction, but it's real !

I've never been to a desert, but I suddenly feel how a someone would feel, all alone and lost in the desert. He (or she) can cry, and shout all he (or she) wants, but there's nobody there to listen to his (or her) despair [e digicons]X([/e] . Fortunately everyday life is normal, so I can shut down the computer, forget about the future horrors and all the other horrible things happening on the other side of the world, and I can pretend nothing is happ

Politicians talk about carbon tax this, subsidize that ... it takes too long and is too inefficient. They should just ban coal-fired power plants altogether. It's so simple, but they make it so complicated... too much talk, way too much. Honestly ... how many decades can people discuss something like this ... as if we have a choice in this matter. Even if someone doesn't believe in GW, then it should be pretty obvious to that person that one day all c

Lots of talk and little action. http://www.livescience.com/42934-obama-declares-climate-change-fact-sotu.html My suggestion to presidents and premiers around the world is: stop talking about how big a problem it is and do something about it. And don't add even more red tape!!!

Uhm... yes you're right, perhaps he didn't see into infinity, only just far enough to see a point of no return. And I suppose if that's the way the trolley problem works, than it's applicable to this situation too.
