Thanks for that - no joy at 50 Fame (many reloads, eight other heroes available followed by a run of sixteen reloads without a new hero showing up), but he was there at 100 Fame (first attempt - no reloading needed!).
I need the "Darkling Allies - Recruit Nen Ratcatcher" achievement to get 100% Steam achievements* but am struggling to find him/her. Google claims this is available through Fame for an Empire faction but there's been no sign in my last four Empire games - one of which I played to over 3,200 Fame. Any tips on where Nen might be hiding?

With 22 Fame I have "Next champion at 50 fame" - I start to train a Torch Bearer (cost 20 fame) so have a new total of only 2 Fame, but "Next champion at 3 fame" - Is this a bug or working as intended?
