Reply to Decor 1.08 broke in Decor8 Stardock Forums

I was having the same issues with Decor8 until I deactivated and reactivated the product (the ability to do this is under "About"). Strangely, Decor8 did not ask for activation during installation, though ModernMix did. Perhaps the bug lies here?
