Sounds like the old "rising evil" event again, though I thought I'd read in one of these threads that it had been disabled by one of the patches for the lower intelligence levels (do you have the latest patches?) It's a very low probability event, and it's one of those where you're given a vague/cryptic warning of it before it happens. There is something you can do to prevent it going off once you get the warning, but I don't remember what it is. Also, although I've never had

I'm not sure if I quite like that idea thongor. a few reasons - each game turn is a month. Also, your likely to have ambassadors to all civs, so realistically, your civ is constantly in touch with everyone. How about this though - what if the AI agreed to the trade on the condition that you can't trade that same tech to someone they aren't friendly with for a period of time. That would allow the AI to achieve its goal of gaining an advantage over someone they don't like, while making

I recall reading a posting from Frogboy in another thread. He said each race values different technologies more or less, and will trade depending on their own goals. His example was that the warlike Drengins would value battle tech much higher than other stuff. I don't recall who you said you were trying to trade with, but if they want miltary supremacy, your deal isn't going anywhere.

Kavok, I like the idea of putting in a morality question there, though your evil option is probably a little too beneficial. But in general, the more things that affect your evilness, the better. Also, the effect of each morale option could depend on why they surrendered to you - like if you were brutally destroying all their worlds, their people are going to hate you, so you'd probably only get a beneficial result by torturing/coercing info out of them (evil), whereas if you'd cultura

Don't have the game yet, so ignore this post... 1) Have a method to allow us to rate suggestions on how important/desirable they are - and let us know which ones are in progress. 2) After your year of support, go open source (ha ha) 3) Once a civ has surrendered to you, make any techs they have that you don't become reduced in research cost to reflect the fact that you've gained access to all their scientists and doco. While it'll still take time and effort to unde

I was about to disagree with you, but I think I agree. I mean, the reason they're surrendering is because they can't buy peace with any tech and wotnot they have. Maybe it's too big a bonus to get ALL their techs, but then again, you have captured all their scientists, and all that sort of stuff would be documented (probably in a locked cabinet with "CLASSIFIED" written on it to point out exactly where you should be looking). Perhaps it could halve your research time for the captured
