First of all I want to say that I love GalCiv ;) , but my games usually don't last all that long. The farthest I ususally get is Battleship and Dreadnought. Because either I kick ass or I get ass kicked. It's still fun, but I like to know a good way to stay alive to find new ships to master the galaxy with. After all it could be operator factor. -Dark

So when it asks for alias what do you put in? Your real name or your nickname?
LoL, actually I go both ways, whatever keeps the other civs off my back. and Ray this is the nick that I use in my other game that I love to play online. Yea Day of Defeat! ;)
Thanks Obi Wan that worked
Is there a way to change your profile, for instance instead of 'David Smith' can I change it to something else? If so how? Thanks
I bought my GC from Best Buy, I've only played a few times and I like it (although it would be nice to have a score like 'Ray the Wanderer', but I can't complain) My question concerns updates and expansion packs. I know that once you buy the game you don't have to pay to buy anything else (that was at least the impression that I was under) but where exactly do I find the updates and expansions? Because if its at Drengin.net I am expected to pay the $30 to become apart of that? Or what and where
What is the fastest and best way to get out of debt. I managed to find myself thousands of dollars in debt, the only think I could figure was increase tax to the best output and wait it out. Is there anything faster? Thanks
An old one, it is the one that came with the computer, but since I don't have another PCI slot or an AGP slot I need a new motherboard.
LOL, I realized that after I set this up. Thanks anyways
Somehow I managed to get Mother Earth to 42, production is fast and I get things done. However I can't build anymore military projects. I try and it doesn't allow me. Is there anything I can do? Thanks
I haven't registered yet, the game is on my brothers computer, I'm waiting to get a new video card before I register and download updates, but I'll look into it. Thanks
During the course of a game, GalCiv just simply minimizes and disappears. I try to find it but to no avail. Luckily the Autosave comes in handy, albeit I have to repeat some orders to get back to my original position. It’s not only a problem it’s a nuisance. Have you heard of similar problems or is it just my computer? Let me know. Thanks
I've checked my local Best Buy on Wednesday the 26th and then on Friday the 28th looking to purchase GalCiv. To my dismay it was neither in store or on the Up-coming games list. Apparently Best Buy (at least the one near me) hasn't even heard of it. David
Hey, I stumbled across this game while looking up some new strategy based games. After reading through some of the info on the website I was excited. I believe I have the basic principle about the game, I'm still uncertain about some aspects. On March 26, 2003, the game will be released to the general public. That much I am certian, what I'm confused about is the whole downloading from Stardock Central, do you buy a disc and then have to download the game? I understand the BonusPak and
