If you get ANY hp bonus the max HP of all your units increases but not their own hp until they are repaired. So any ship or starbase you had already built before getting a HP bonus (you get them from anomalies or various techs) will look damaged until they are repaired. ~SDC~

I can imagine that support costs are implemented as positive integers. Adding a minus to them will mean you add a 1 to the first bit of the integer: 00000010 > 10000010 For a positive integer this means it becomes a VERY large number. Quite logical really ;) ~SDC~

I'm wondering what cloaking does to your ships. I understand that rangers and more advanced ships are all equipped with cloaking so that 'they cannot be tracked beyond visual or sensor range'. But any ship that leaves my sensor range cannot be tracked anyway so what does cloaking add to this? Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks. ~SDC~

Yeah I noticed it by now. I wonder how the AI does it. 2 of my enemies built their capital quite close to my borders. Somehow that shield with a crown acted as a red cloth to my battle fleets... quite odd... ;) ~SDC~

After getting a UN ruling that I should pay 5% of my income to support less powerful (useless) races I see this description on the U.P. enforced laws screen: 'Effective through year 2195, string not found' any suggestions what I can do about this? ~SDC~

Javascout, I've noticed that in the wonders.imp file it lists the separate changes quite clearly. The first few items are planet-only and the last one is empire-wide. Maybe that helps. I've been considering changing the descriptions to list this information too but that might spoil a bit of the atmosphere of the game. ~SDC~

It has to do with rounding off things. The % shown on the sliders are rounded off so when you click a slider and the number doesn't change on screen in fact it does change. On top of that if you change the sliders the number of 'icons' produced on some planets may change influencing your total balance for example; if you have a planet that produces 10 icons and you have it set at 19%Military 22%social and 60% research you will effectively see: 1 icon military (1.9 rounded

You can increase military spending in your government economy screen. That way more money is spent on production so you produce ships faster. But bear in mind that in reality producting a transport ship that can contain 1million people (200 times bigger than a large aircraft carrier in the US navy) in only a few years is acually fairly fast already. ~SDC~

I have that same feeling. Although SE4 and even Moo3 have it's appeal. And even Anno1503 is calling to me I somehow do not seem to get around to playing any of these games since I've gotten Galciv. (anyone tried Anno1503? I'm thinking of getting it as a nice in-between) ~SDC~

The game is VERY hard if you try to play it as other TBS games. You just cannot win on your own in this game, you need to work together with at least one or two other races. This is a first for me and I love it :) ~SDC~

I'm wondering if I can move my capitol like some other races are doing too. I haven't found anything yet but I have found a nice planet to live as an emperor ;) ~SDC~

I've made a list of crashreports in the 'Crashreport for Frogboy' thread. I didn't have these crashes with previous versions and they all happen at the same time (when I press 'leave' on a diplo screen). ~SDC~

I've noticed that the first basic techs are VERY hard to trade from other races. So that includes Industrial theory, medical theory etc.... Never thougth it was a bug, the techs are so fundamental that I guess the other races just don't feel like sharing ;) ~SDC~
