Senate Problems in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

There I was with the Caranoids sitting on my Western border, blocking my Manifest Destiny. So I built up the fleet and went in to show them the error of there ways. And those bleeding heart liberals in the senate refused to declare war! Do I have to wait for the next election and a hopefully larger majority or is there some way to get them on my side earlier? I tried lowering taxes, but it didn't help. I may just stay Imperial next game and forget democracy.

I started a new game and it is working fine now, so it must have been a corrupt game. Too bad as it had a really good start.

Since I installed Altair Prophecy to galciv, whenever I hit the menu button in the top center the game crashes to desktop. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

Colony Ships in Galactic Civilizations I Stardock Forums

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to find out how many people you put on a colony ship, once it has been launched into space? Also is there a trick to using the population slider for loading the colony ships? I get down to about 400 million and then it just blips to zero,with no in between. There are some times I would like to put only 100 or 200 million on a ship, and that is impossible right now. ~SDC~
