I found the answer! The information in the file is case sensitive. filecount MUST be "fileCount" and filename MUST be "fileName" for it to work correctly.

Thanks psugar for the response and details. However, I don't think this is entirely what is required with regards to the .manifest file. Just as a test, I backed up the original galaxy.manifest file and then created a new one just like this: ----- TXT filecount 1 filename "Gaian Crescent2" ----- There is a "Gaian Crescent2.galaxy" in the "c:\program files\stardock games\sins of solar empire\entrenchment\galaxy" directory. H
I also discovered that all you need to do is open a galaxy file, save it as some new galaxy file and when you try to load it with Entrenchment, it automatically ends in defeat.
I downloaded the latest Galaxy Forge to change a galaxy file. After much consternation, I finally found the place to store the galaxy files for Entrenchment. Now, when I try to load this galaxy up, it automatically declares defeat and game over. What have I done wrong and what's going on?
