Windows version 21H2 (OS Build 22000.258) When changing the taskbar size to large and then back to medium, the taskbar on my 2nd monitor is stuck on large. I can't get it to go back to small/medium. The icons will change size, but the taskbar itself stays Large on the secondary display.

MonkeyLogic, the original poster was mixing suggestions AND bugs.. the HP and range things are bugs! He agrees with you, but the game doesn't. It DOES those things. And the right-click on a building in the build list to choose an older version to build? That's a great idea, interface-wise.
I didn't read any of the german reviews... do they only attack the AI? Or do they have other issues? Cuz if they are only harping on the AI "cheating", well.. nearly every single-player game on the planet has cheating AI. Why knock a game for that unfairly?
Can you save and load a Metaverse game and still post upon the game's conclusion? Yes, certainly.
I just keep the shipyard on the "user" tab.
1) AI & Farms: the AI definitely builds farms. I've captured worlds that are overbuilt with farms and I have to promptly scuttle 3 or 4 of them. 2) AI & Troops: I haven't had a problem here. Of course, I don't go farm crazy so most of my planets have 5 or 10b people. 3) AI & resource tiles: Agreed. I've seen this a lot. The AI seems compell
Oh yeah. Thanks!
That poster rocks!
Unless you display even hidden files! (which I do.) (not that I care, I have a bunch of games that tossed stuff in there.)
GalCiv1 had this same problem. People just aren't used to difficulty levels adjusting what the AI actually does, rather than just giving it more or less money. They see the AI on "normal" do something stupid, and think stupid AI; not realizing that yes, it is a stupid AI. At "normal" it's supposed to be! Not that the AI is perfect or anything even on Intelligent, just saying.
Regarding the morale resource: read the book Angelmass by Timothy Zahn. (it's about a a morale resource, basically.)
2x speed should be the default. On 1x the ships don't feel like they are "moving" just flopping around.
Not that I'm excusing SD's having put the option in the manual but not in the game, but why not just use WinAmp or something to play music and turn off the in game music? Why is this such a big deal to you, AB?
The simplelest way to think of farms in GalCiv2, at least until you get a handle on more important things: Don't build farms.
I'm pretty sure you CAN move people between colonies. Hit launch, and load up a transport or colony ship at an inhabited world. Fly to another inhabited world. Hit launch; adjust the slider to 0, hit OK. The ship will launch and leave the people behind.
I'd like a "fill in the money" button. Moving the slider to find that it turns from green to red at 618 bc is just silly.
No, it would be right and true. This wouldn't be the internet without it.
You can always fix it yourself. (Hopefully modding the those files won't effect metaverse games...)
Not sure about anybody else, but I made the decision to buy it at retail so I could support both Strategy First and Stardock.
I find myself playing differently every time, actually. Depending on the situation within the game. I play on "large" with "uncommon" planets. Each civ usually ends up with 10-15 planets by mid-game. Because of the few number of planets, one civ is usually crippled in the opening game. Sometimes that civ is me, and I'm forced to do some creative things to get back on top.
I play the hand I'm dealt. Honestly, I feel that the opening game is the most exciting part, and dealing with varying starting positions is a lot of fun for me.
I would think that by the time you can sit doing this kind of thing, you've already one the game. A "one event per planet" flag would fix this easily enough though.
My Battlehammers! I should have finished my in-progress game BEFORE I hit the update button. Doh!
Heh. I printed Zah's excel techtree with a plotter. Made a nice tech tree poster.
That's just wierd. You got pr0n in my GalCiv!
