MB is imo overpowered but the fix seems pretty simple and obvious to me... The range is ridiculous... cut the range in half... Now you've made it so that it takes a good amount of work and risk to take out an entire enemy fleet and certain ships like LRM will outrange the MB... The biggest problem with MB is its 'I win button' nature with its range cut in half you can block a Marza with your tougher ships, disable it much easier and otherwise stop it rather than desperately tr

The only time I'll 'pirate' a game is if I've already purchased and the DRM is giving me fits or I've lost the disk (or had the disk break). Homeworld 2 I bought when it came out for $50... I lost the disk... I downloaded HW2 off a torrent site... POP:TT has Starforce on it... Starforce killed 2 DVD writers back when they were $200 a pop... hacked version downloaded... Microsoft:Best of Games pack (best version of Tetris EVER!)... came on floppies... floppy gets corrupted... downloaded. Biosh

The Akkan's accuracy buff is useful to only two units... fighters and flak but for those two units it is great as it allows you to really hurt enemy strike craft with either less fighters/flak or hurt them a lot worse before they can get a second volley off. The range bonus is best with LRMs but is a good buff for all ships.

Hacked, cracked and pirated software is wrong and like Kryo points out it does lose the company money even if the pirate would never have bought a legit copy anyways. However, when it comes to the digital BDSM that Sony, M$, Starforce and the rest (basically everyone except Stardock and Paradox) use it really becomes a 'meh' thing and add that to all the crappy corporate sponsored copyright legislation (I think copyright now last a millennium... or is it an epoch?) that basically is about as bad

Bioshock looked amazing. It's copy protection however just killed any interest for me until it drops to $19.99. I had two drives wrecked by Starforce (Neverwinter Nights 2) back when DVD-R drives were $200 a pop... I can live with a Cd-Check for single player and Steam for multiplayer and such but the digital BDSM that many developers go crazy with is just nuts. Kudos to SD/IC for making a great game and not treating paying customers like thieves. I also like Paradox for this I
