Here in blighty that commute would be enough to make most people move! Especially if you live/work in a city, that would be a good 2 hours each way. And the fuel costs would be, as you point out, immense!
One thing I constantly hear (especially from the conservatives here in the U.S.) is that if you can't afford the gas prices, you should simply move. There's a massive lack of logic in that suggestion. Not everyone has the resources or ability to simply pack u
What happens when we strike WRONG?
Already happened- it's called "Iraq".
I don't know where the hell modern Americans got the idea that they need to be the world's policeman. What happened to the US? It used to be the beacon of freedom to the rest of the world, and now they just appear to be a warmongering bully. They've gone from being a Promised Land to a Crusader State for no reason whatsoever.
Not true- there's two answers to this: 1

As someone with development experience, here's my formula for a guaranteed good (great) game: 1.) Story/Content of interest and quality- While you don't have to break the bank coming up with the most amazingly original idea ever, you need to have something within the game that people are interested in learning more about, or at minimum willing to watch evolve over the course of the game- and care about it. 2.) Random- What games do I STILL play, 5 or 10 years af

99.8 percent of the time I only listen to Prince. The other 0.2 percent I might have some New Age/Celtic in like Enya, Dagda or some such, if I need to relax (which is often)...

I really keep wanting to do this, but each time I sit down to start modeling something I can't get past the fact that I used to be a professional virtual reality developer, and did this every day of the week while getting paid to do it. No matter how fun it might be- it's REALLY hard to do something when you're not getting paid for it. At least, for me it is. =P Plus I threw out my 6-DOF controller, which makes modeling SO much easier in moving around your model. Stup

For those who think there isn't a large and quite capable crowd of female gamers, check out some of their sites- for instance, the girls entertainment network (www.girlsentertainmentnetwork.com) is open to both sexes, has daily articles on all things gaming and geek from women just as passionate as any man. The stereotype is broken, and it's becoming far less "odd" in any way to encounter women involved in gaming or other geek passions. Soon enough, it won't be a consideration whatso

I watch Sci-Fi, since they have Atlantis and BSG, but I really wish I didn't because they don't deserve the viewership. When you have a station that routinely wastes money on the crap they make for every Saturday night, none of which are watchable in the least, and yet cancel brilliant shows like The Dresdin Files, or not keeping the "should-be-in-the-top-5-of-all-time-shows" Firefly going... well, no more need be said about the incompetence of those in charge. Once BSG and Atlantis

I personally don't support the death penalty, even in the case of mass-murderers. I don't feel it is the right of another human to take someone's life- even if said person has taken another. Why move them into the afterlife, in whatever form it may take, when you can instead make them dwell on the matter for 50, 60 or 70 years, every day? I also feel we VASTLY confuse our lengths of prison sentences- you can commit a terrible act of violence against someone with a gun and serve 5 years in pris
Druid Blue, I would like to say how I disagree with what you say. You make it seem that the democrats are a bunch of angles, and saints. And the Republicans are a buch of racist, war hungry, power hungry nut jobs. Even though you said you are talking from personal experiance, it seems like you have a vendneta against republicans. this may seem a little weird, but maybe the demorcrats are just trying to look good so they can gain votes, and trying to beat the republicnas how have been beat

As always in life, you should speak from your own experiences only. If you speak outside that margin, you are making guesses and uninformed misinformation. In my own experience, Democrats are the following: Caring for all humans regardless of nationality, race, or gender. Understanding of those who are less fortunate than the most successful of us. Not bigoted, racist, sexist, or otherwise judgmental of other people. Respectful of ALL religions and do not pus

It is already my favorite game of all time. I guarantee it. I know the quality of Will Wright games, and the scope of the game is PERFECT to me- I mean, you could play for 60 YEARS and never see your whole universe in the game! I do not fall prey to the "it's a sandbox game and gets boring" concept like so many other gamers do either. My only concern is if it will run on my lower end system- if it doesn't, I swear to everything dark and evil I will murder someone and take thei

Mitigation is a ridiculous concept in regards to shields. (I'm not even talking about Sins here, I'm talking about in general.) Most games take shields, and use them to reduce the amount of damage that "gets through". That's insane- a shield STOPS damage. It makes you NOT TAKE damage. If someone swings a sword at you, and you block it with the shield, you've taken NO damage. A Shieldmaster in the most superior form of fighter, because he blocks 3/4 of all attacks in his way. A sin

One of the things I find most annoying with our society is that people who live "normal" lives are completely incapable of understanding when others have situations arise in their lives that make it impossible to carry on in a "normal" fashion. I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder- it's the single worst not-fatal disease one can have and will shut down your life faster than you can blink. Because of having it, I have been unable to find work for the last 5 1/2 years that I can perform.

It depends on only one thing: If we move to a Democratic leadership, then yes, at least for quite a long while the U.S. will remain a Superpower. If we, however, continue down the path of the Warpublicans, the rest of the world will simply put us down- heck, they'll HAVE to- and we'll no longer have any prestige, control or respect. The answer to your question is directly related to if you vote for "more of the same/right" or "back on the correct path/left" in November. Eventu
Just do what i did, and go into the game files, and make it so you have completed all the achievements. Its a lot easier than actually finding the space ponies, and its what a true pink space pony would do.
:NOTSURE: Why even have the achievements in the game if you just edit the file to say you got them all? Is it really that important your list is checked off, rather than have those that you actually managed to get on your own? When I got the Space

Well, I know it's "just" me, but the slower, the better. After 30 your reflexes start going and after 35 you just can't quite keep your mind whirling around on too much at once. (I jest, of course.) When I play games of this nature, they must be A.) random. I will never play a static map- I don't want to know what's going to be there in the game I'm about to play! B.) Full of many opponents. While I'll likely NEVER win in my life, I always play against maximum number of h
