my issue has been solved, I uninstalled SCO through steam. then I deleted the leftover remaining folder in steam directory, also the folder in MY Documents/My Games/Star Control Origins. I then reinstalled through steam and everything is working great. hope this helps
Yes, I have tried all except clean boot windows.
I have the same problem, SCO hangs on loading screen, the only changes that have been made are updated graphic drivers to gtx 1080, and changed install directory from d:(hdd) to c:(ssd). my pagefile is set to auto.
dialog tree with the scryve needs work. I was able to select the option to ask " did you say that you did report to your superiors yet" without following that tree.
