Apologies if this one has already been reported (I suspect somebody has to have run into it). After trying a random map (large size, one star) in 1.03, I got a system with overlapping planets. In the attached screenshot you can see the asteroid right above the desert planet. I can travel between the two, but the ship jumps from one to the other right in the center of the gravity well. It seems strange, and likely unintended. I can provide a save if need be. <

I was looking at the Vasari tech tree, and considering the worth of phase missiles. The description of the first-tier tech reads 'Phasing technology made small enough to fit into missiles, giving them a chance to bypass shields and directly impact hulls'. My first thought was that, at low percentages, this could potentially be a bad thing. Normally, when you are fighting a ship, you first must work to break through the shields. When trying to build structures, I've occasionally been stuck where the game continues to tell me, no matter where I try to build the object 'another structure is in the way'. Clicking to a different planet and clicking back seems to fix it. I've seen it happen several times in several different games, but sadly, I don't have a sure-fire way of making it happen.

I didn't even know there was a website from which one could get patches. No, we both patched through the Stardock application. At any rate, we've been happily playing most of the day today, so it isn't much of a worry. Just thought I would point it out in case other people experienced it.

I bought the digital download version of the game from TGN, and a friend of mine bought the retail version in the store. We both updated to the most recent version of the game via stardock, and tried to play in a multiplayer match. When we tried to join the other person's game, we would get a message that the game files didn't match. We both tried a complete reinstall from our respective mediums, and the same problem occurred.
