Congratulations, and well done. ---

It's probably best to get some sleep, because tomorrow will not see much of that. ;-) ---
Comparably speaking, the delay is microscopic, the changes are astronomical, and it's all done with the speed of light. :-)
It's much more fun trying out the different races now, and play out their strengths and/or weaknesses. With an editor only the universe will be the limit I suppose. But the original races truly hold their own candle now. This is what I call an expansion. :-) ---
The announcement obviously need some more polish. They can't just release an incomplete announcement, and patch it later. ;-) ---
Bah. Now the weekend will be terribly slow in the passing. Hey, that's not so bad... ;-)
To TheRealWarpstorm. I looked up Dwarf Fortress after reading your post, and have to say that it's absolutely brilliant. I used most of the night learning the basics, and it was a blast. Thank you. ;-) ---
Arrrr!!!! Weekend saved. ---
Yes it's true, game play has gone out of the window, graphics is all that matters. RTS games may not automatically represent a logical step forward, look at the state of PC gaming as we speak, in a time when Real Time Strategy is dominant. Oh there are many other factors at play, but PC gaming has declined so badly, new titles are either converted from consoles, or cloned from other semi-successful titles. There are a few exceptions, like faint lights in the Dark Ages of PC gaming. ;-)
Ah. Looks good. Well, the text telling you that you are not logged in, when attempting to reply while not logged in, was Dark Blue on a Black Background. That's not very easy to read. ( Using Firefox BTW. ) Not very important, but that's all I found... :-p ---
These time frames will hardly move us far away from the Holocene, which is the latest Geological Period. Carry on the good work, and no rush. We know that rushing is bad, for the most part. And good to hear that the next project is turn based as well. ---
Jolly Yuletide to all! ---
Bah, can't they have these polls before you get completely entangled in Christmas preparations. Voted correctly Sir. Yes Sir! :-) ---
Well done, and thanks for keeping turn based game play where it belongs. On the top! Huzzah! :-D ---
You can't win them all. All the time. But I think the momentum and sheer weight of GC II will outlast some of the titles on that list, no matter what is voted. ---
Voted. Turn based game play, for maximum enjoyment and comfort, with very little twitchy behavior depending on a sugar rush. :-) ---
TA will be like dropping a Doom Star upon the unsuspecting world. Muahaha-ha! But it's always good to see some recognition, especially when it's genuinely deserved. Huzza for good old fashioned game play. Great concepts never go out of fashion, no matter what the mind benders try to pull. :-) ---
Hail Stardock, the new Masters of Orion. :-) ---
The central tower of the capital is somewhat... oversized, cartoon style. I agree there. But on the other hand, big towers prove fascinating somehow. Maybe it is the view, maybe it is the feeling of a superior position. Maybe it is something Freud would have commented on, with links to biological aspects of the human body. I have no answers, and no strong objections, different styles would be cool, but not exactly critical. I am pretty sure there is enough to do otherwise. Maybe three
I can't vote currently. But later, later, alligator. ---
Civ2 managed to provide an almost magical balance, where everything worked together in a fluid and logical fashion. While the graphics improved in civ3 and 4, the different game elements started to scream for attention, and so the magic was lost, maybe forever. I feel it was a very refined and cleaned up product for it's time. With ties to board gaming perhaps.
Got distracted by this line in the same picture as previously mentioned: "Physical labor is considered too lowly to be considered honorable by some races." I do this myself a lot, especially when tired. But this line of text might benefit from a slight overhaul. Would personally revisit such text if applicable, and clean it up. You could for example write: "Physical labor is considered too lowly, to be regarded as honorable by some races." The problem lies i
To say this looks intriguing, is an understatement of epic proportions. Can't talk, busy.
Thanks for the update. I will take the time to comment on that border, it is for me a good example of how great design should be, maintaining visibility, and functionality, with enough attitude remaining to make an impression, without screaming for attention. This is clearly expertise.
Thanks for the good, hard, great work. You have done more than anyone can ask for. Short of an MMO, this game has received more love than anything out there. Maybe a global reduction of habitable planets can be made optional in the future? No doubt some of us actually found this change less devastating than the enormous disaster some vocal individuals made it sound like. Not everyone got supercomputers. For all it is wort
