[quote who="Sinperium" reply="5" id="3191772"]Prior to the last patch, the bugs had been almost completely stomped out (minidumps were not a problem for example)--balance was the issue. The balance patch came out and new bugs appeared. I'm pretty sure that these are temporary and the next patch should address them. Whatever you do--don't buy Windows! You'll really hate it. It's been bugged since 1985 and they are still pa

This has been covered already in about 3 threads.... Scouts can see mines. (If you want to see the radius then select the scout and mouse over the mine sweep ability) They used to sweep automatically. They don't anymore because the devs were afraid of scouts hitting mines. Poor little scouts. Long live the Society to Save Scouts (also known as SSSSSSSSsssss) -- Sarcasm Launch Detected!! -- &n

You can select the cannon and assign it a number like you do with fleets (IE CTRL+1,2,3,etc). I've never tried to link them in any way. I usually just assign 7,8,9,0 for any super weapons I want to micro manage.

I've seen the same. Suddenly the computer will start building huge numbers of scouts for no reason. I've never really tried to pin down what causes this or if it's restricted to a particular race.

Incorrect. I just played a full game of Entrenchment and the scouts did a glorious job. I didn't lose a single scout and they did clear the mines. It's nice to be able to send a scout to a system with 150 mines and come back in a while and it be clear. I had multiple systems with over 100 mines and it would have been horrible to clear all that. In addition, I had a solo scout clear a worm hole with over 50 seeking mines, and it survived. They have the range, th

If you call the pirates, it works just like the Vasari ability to call the "dark fleet". It will send in a certain amount of random pirate ships which you will have direct control over. It will also cost you fleet resource. If you do not have any fleet resource it will not send anything (or if you have a limited amount, it will send ships until to run out). If you got nothing, chances are you had no free fleet resource.

The aiUseTime for this never did a super job at it (your scouts had a decent chance of running into a mine on their way to detecting one). It's something just better left micro'd for now. We haven't altered this at all. We haven't altered this at all. Need a screenshot and repro s

Hold down ALT while clicking a ship or fighter type and it will select all of that type. This actually works for anything. Ships, structures, etc. You can also click either on the object directly or from the side bar.

[quote who="Ben_Maxwell" reply="14" id="3179641"] Quoting Ben_Maxwell, reply 10I seriously could have sworn research use to "grey out" after research was completed to the maximum level, the reason I think I remember it being like that was because it was easy to spot when you hadn't fully upgraded something and had forgotten to go back to it, now you have to hover over each icon to check. No, they should stay fully colored after you research a tech, and ge

These bugged items I’m listing are, for the most part, features that USED to work in previous versions. For whatever reason, most of these items are now broken, bugged or disabled. Another note is that this stuff has been broken for months. I waited to see if anything was fixed in the final release, but it looks as if the final release was the one we got months ago. Here’s the list: - Scouts no longer mine sweep. They can still detect/decloak mines if you park the
