Well if you guys are wanting for ship models and the like Id drop a line over to the guys at WC Saga. I know they have a large chunk of WC2 era ships done up, and they might be willing to share some of them if you ask nicely.
Give me my Veritechs !!!!! Actually using the Invid vs. Robotech Masters conflict would be an interesting twist on the Robotech universe.
Althaz, the entire installation for me took only about 45 minutes if I remember correctly, and that includes the download.
Despite its fighter-centric games, the wing commander universe, especially in the later installments, featured plenty of non-carrier action. Seeing the battles unfold through from the perspective of the fleet commander worried about large numbers of capital ships instead of from the cockpit worried only about the targets in front of you, be they fighters or a single cap ship objective, would be IMO AWESOME. One of my favorite moments playing the WC games was in WC2, watching the Concor
Ah I miss that rickety looking old thing, and given the way some of the pirate vessels look, with some minor tweaking it could be a nice addition to their fleet.
I wouldnt say ALL the major plot points are from the original. The political story arcs, President Rosalyn, Baltar running for Pres, Tom Zerik, etc. especially are brand new, at least from my fuzzy memory. Plus the original Adama kicked nowhere near as much ass as Edward James Olmos does... If you guys need someone to bounce ideas off of, or to try to come up with story arc ideas im game, part time writer and film student here, but beyond that I dont really think I can do much
Ive noticed that Radiance Battleships will autocast their "taunt" ability, dont remember the name offhand, whenever anything enters weapons range. Unfortunately this means that the majority of the time only one or two ships will be in range, instead of the entire enemy fleet. Also at lower levels there is a pretty good chance that NOTHING will be in the abilities range. Generally speaking though its a good idea to keep an eye on all your Cap ships in the heat of battle, pausing when ne
Get a decent force of Advent ships together, throw the damage propagation ability, preferably level 3, on the LRMs and boom, down they go.
Were you playing as advent, and did you have the auto-bounty for people killing your trade ships researched? Ive seen some obscenely high bounties created on enemy factions because of this.
The same speculation surrounded the Apollo before it entered at the end of season 3 of atlantis, though that ultimately ended up being just another 304, so my money is on the Phoenix being either a salvaged ship, mainly because the naming conventions dont seem to run with the previous 304s, or the next 304.
as far as i know the only Ori ships seen in SG-1 were the giant battleships, and the tiny fighters. Would be nice to see some more variety, but without maybe one or two more designs to extrapolate from it would be pretty difficult. If the Excalibur size compared to the 303 and 304 is accurate, i dont see it coming into Atlantis anytime soon, short of it being found as a derelict somewhere in pegasus. but of course if that happened then it wouldnt be of earth design *shrugs*
what is that ship on the far right, above the prometheus and f-304? Thats the Excalibur Class, and more then theorethical, will show up in the last Stargate season, as the new Tau'ri Spaceship. Armed with Asgard Energy Weapons, Phase shifting, etc. the Ori Killer
well con

of the races listed only three: Magog, Than and the Nietzscheans are organized enough to be considered major races in my opinion. if this mod is based at the time of the show then the vedrans have disappeared, the paradine dont number more than three, humans are far too fractured and disorganized to merit a major race, several minor races maybe, and the avatars of the sun, well, again only three show up in the entire series. add to those three the Commonwealth/Restored Commonwealth a
you got 8 major races out of the andromeda universe? i would very much like to see how you did that, at most there are four to six, depending on if you count the various incarnations of the commonwealth and the collectors
maybe people would be a little more responsive if your "conversions" were more than seemingly random sci-fi games and movie races thrown together into a badly thought out mod. just my two cents though.....
