I have the exact same problem at work and have emailed Stardock support but haven't had an answer to date. What puzzles me is that earlier verisions of WB worked just fine with all the alpha blending, see through sections, etc. What the heck changed to make this problem suddenly appear? The autoarchive box is checked on my SDC. However I still haven't a clue about how to reinstall an archived version. More importantly what changed to suddenly make what was working flawlessly suddenly start not working?
I've had the same problem for some time now and no one seems to have a real answer as to why. It seemed to happen about three updates ago and was working just fine until then. Any of the see through blinds bomb. The standard ones don't. For instance StealthOS original works fine but the Stealth OS with the see through effects simply has the start menu disappear. Anyone know how to go back to an older version of WB? Thanks!
6 June 2006 is the date of my wblind.dll. Also the problem comes and goes. If I unlock and relock my task bar it sometime fixes it. And it seems to disapper most often after I open Stardock Central or Wincustomize Browser for some reason.
It has been working just fine and only recently started having this problem. Thought it might be tied to one of the WindowBlinds upgrades. ???
For some oddball reason, and only on my computer at work, I keep having the Taskbar menu simply disappear from my desktop. I highlight the "start" button and the Taskbar menue pops up only as a vague outline of the right and top bar. The only problem I've had is that sometimes when I click on the "Start" button the panel flashes an outline then doesn't display. Changing the taskbar from locked to unlocked and back again usually clears it up for a while.

I've always found it interesting that Microsoft can sell OEM versions of their software for half (and less than half) the price of their "full blown" software. I buy reasonably priced software (Stardock is a fine example) but stay away from the ritzy priced stuff. If you look around long enough you can usually find reasonably priced alternatives. Unfortunately with Microsoft you don't have much of a choice - which is why I buy their OEM versions! <
That is unquestionably the best article I've ever read concerning Piracy. It summed up my feelings to a "T". One other point. I think companies like Microsoft charge WAY too much for their products. If Windows XP Professional were available for say $50.00 bucks a pop the pirated copies would be halved overnight!
