i think the influence is way to strong. i go in and completely wipe out two systems next to each other one is a dead end and i still can't get the system because of the influence not being produced by its neighbor

the ai seems to be about the same wimps. the pirates have become wimps. and it is at least 5 times harder to take an enamy planet due to influence. it tkes at least 5 attempts to actually take a system. and if that system has a system next to it with broadcast towers it is even harder. this means that you have to build at least one tower in every one of your grav wells. only to keep your planets

I was trying to get one of my CAP ship out of a way from a cluster of Gauss platform. Even if there was absolutely no obstacle in the way, the PATH was being re-draw to go and escape the cluster of platform BEHIND them first the back where i was pointing. using mouse interface. (I lost that CAP ship) i had a similar experience except i ordered the ship out of the system and for some reason it wanted to take a tour of the planet first.

i usually send missiles and bombers at the cannons, cobalts at the hangers. caps at the planet/whatever fighters a flax after bombers and fighters after the bombers are done and the kodiak depends on if the ai has lots of hangers or not hangers if a lot cannon if few hangers but that is becouse the ai isn't building any ships at the moment and the formation breaks up as soon as it enters the grav well

Ships that have unused command or ability points will have a white + icon on them if you expand their fleet/planet's tree on the empire list. you cannot expand the fleet at the star where in lies pirates and lvling up for caps. also on a side note has anyone but me noticed that the quote button is broken. ie i hit the quote button and the (quote)s go around what i want to quote but the stay in that post they do not

I don't think trade ships went between stars in beta 1 either. Refinery ships did, but not trade ships. i watched them run between systems. in one game i accendently had one escorted and watched the combat ship follow it between stars. speaking of watching i would like to have the trade ships and refinery ships returned to the screen so i can watch them go between grav wells.

you should consider the logistics of manpower , thats what I consider the fleet support amount to be. what does it matter if you have 1000x of ships if no one to crew them... ok so i won't have to through away any more cash on logistics

i would like to see a starbase i can think of two 1 a logistics 6 building has frigate hanger, research, trade port, refinery, about the same fire power of 10 cannons with AAA and 2 hangers. cost 150,000 credits, 700 metals, 700 crystal. 2 a logistics 4 building same as above no hanger or research. cost 100,000 credits 500 metals, 500 crystal. or something like that

the largest i have seen are around 50 and i love it when my fleet is in the right system becouse the lvls be a comming. if not in the right system all of that experience is wasted

3 i knew there was a three the AI doesn't seem to be building ships. i mean it will build some ships but it isn't maxing out. and with all of the pirates running around gaining lvls for caps is not that hard. my first built cap. in this game gained 2 lvls almost as soon as it came out of space dock my capital was being attacked by pirates

i doubled the slots and it seems to be just right i am able to put in one frigate dock, one cap ship dock, one trade port, and two refineriers. as for research i put those around the lowly astroids. and in the other capital planets i drop the docks and put in a third refinerier
