some of those lanes need to be dead ends i mean everyone of them opened unto two other grav wells. except one which was a dead end i don't mind a hard game but i don't like games that are impossible to win or games that are so busy as this seems to be right now that i am pulling my hair out trying to figure out where i need my attention at. oh i was using the build my own system thingy with four stars and four opponents and they were all in the same system
danielost
i am playing on normal the game i was just playing i had 6=7 grav wells had fights going on in 4 of them i order my fleet to one system and they take a short cut through unknown space and get my in another fight. the fleet never did get where i told them to go. it stopped in the second unknown grav well and started a fight there now i have five fights going on. the carriers are able to sit at the edge of the map and send in bombers after the cannons. the
also what are the points per ship ie 1-frigates,2-cruisers,5-capital ships?????????????
lets see you have added about 500% more things to do in each system. you have limited the number of structures in each system. you have limited the number of ships. and it seems that you have made it very hard to stop an invasion behind your lines. if you take time to build up the home system you lose your extra system. if you don't take time to build up you lose the oppertunity to do so i like the pirates. i like the limiting aspect of the g
i don't why everyone is having problems i said on another thread that i had preordered all of the beta2 downloads you all will have to wait for beta3
it is nice to have them there when you are trying to put so many in that grav well. but during combat they tend to get in the way
i want to be able to toggle off the orbitals so that all that is in the empire tree most of the time is the planets and the warships. and the construction frigate should be like the trade ships and resource ships.
i know it is too late for beta 2
all of that stuff on the left side of the screen needs to be reduced to ships and equipment that you can give orders to in combat. or have a toggle switch to do that with. i am talking about the hangers, the construction frigates, the trade posts.
You sure do, but only after I download it first... i am sorry but i pre ordered all beta 2 downloads six months ago you'll have to wait for beta 3
Tomorrow. that is too long to wait

we still need to improve pathing for the ships. they are still bumper cars. also if a large ship is sitting still wouldn't it just use it's thrusters to turn toward the direction of travel instead of moving to turn. I hope that made sense. turning around would be faster than moving 100,000 miles to do the same job at least i think it would be and this is just a stupid question but where in the grav well would the moon be at the blue line. or the yellow line
I find it funny though that sometimes the AI in the earlier beta would trip its own decisions up (I dont know about the current, I just ignore my enemies and plow through them w/out any assistance). many times it would hand over a cascade of agreements only to cancel everything and say "the cost of those frigates is coming out of you!!!" attack, retract and hand out more agreements sounds human to me isn't that what russia and the united states
Can ships slowly repair them selves i havent got beta 1 but iv preordered so im gonna start beta 2 yes
i think that what this game needs is a frigate phase inhibiter ie a frigate with a phase inhibiter/or a cruiser
fortunately all of your collective bickering who's bickering, we are just making suggestions loudly
this also means that the AI needs to be able to do the above and be able to jump a fleet at one time.
Yes, but they were also able to exploit geography in a way that isn't possible in space. It's where your analogy broke down with a space-based war game. i do it all the time in this game with cannons at the jump lanes
A note about 300, they were also defending a very narrow passage that meant the enemy could only have a small number of their units in battle at any given time. If a passage is 10 men wide, the enemy can only have ten or so of its men in combat, so what you're doing is negating their superior numbers by turning the larger conflict into a series of smaller force battles. so your saying that the smartens which were better equipped and better trained than
also i think that the fleet flag you know with the number 1 or whatever should be click able so that you know that when you move said fleet it moves together. ships in a fleet would move together ie the cruisers wouldn't jump until the frigates were ready and vise versa.
i mean that 300 Spartans with stood an attack of 40,000? for three days because they were better organized than the enemy so if you have a bunch of heavy frigates and cruisers attack a small but better positioned of scouts and cruisers and the small fleet stick together instead of attack separately the fleet may not win the fight but it should do more damage.
I just went and saw 300 this week and a proper fleet should be able to do more damage to a swarm even if the swarm does when. so we need to be able to design fleets
i was going to go down and buy a super soaker
ok i vote for shooting Yarlen any secounds
