Serial number help in Demigod Stardock Forums

Hello! Digging this game out because it sounded fun tonight! I input the serial number provided after using the "locate serial number" feature. When I try to use it, Stardock account registration says it's invalid. What should I do? Thanks!

Can't play Demigod on Steam in Stardock Games Stardock Forums

I purchased Demigod years ago, but when trying to start the game it now asks for a stardock account. When I put in my account info (which allows me to log in on the site) it says my serial number is registered to another account. Help, please. How do I play the game I purchased?
