Jinx, just give up...I have =p. Leave people with their misconceptions, eventually they will lose to people without them enough times that they get broken anyway. Soulassadr, advent does fine once you have high level caps, have time to tech up to crusaders, etc...however, if your playing against good players, you'll need to fight WAY before you have the time to tech up that high. The original expectation was that 1.1 would come out by the end of April (from a Stardock employee I spoke to on IRC)... This was not a hard deadline of course, so give a couple of extra weeks to that estimate and you will probably be close.

I definitely wish we could have a faster game mode, *specially* for the first 5-10min of any game... I'm always twiddling my thumb alot of the time during that game-period... Would be nice to be 50% faster for first 5-10min and then back to normal fast speed =p.

Cykur, how often do you go past the simple TEC trade-port technology on their empire tree? Sure, in multi-star systems you'll probably go all the way to pervasive economy...in which case your whole tidbit about getting the refinery tech for cargo-expansion is true... However, in many many situations, you never go beyond simple trade ports... One of the problems with refineries, relative to trade-posts, which you don't address here is the amortization cost of the research per refinery/trade-post built. Once I research trade-posts, I can put them everywhere...and they just improve with my planet-chain-length... The whole thing about refineries is that you need to find good placements for them, so how many do you actually build? 1, 2, 3? I know Jinx and I work... Jinx is PST I believe, so I don't know if he can make it before like 7pm EST on any given workday... I know he broke a few laws making the last game at 7:30 with your guys =p. I can probably make it anytime after 5pm EST on any given day, given some warning time... Weekends i'm available pretty much anytime, given advance warning.

I just heard frogboy say that SC/IC will be hosting a summer MP tournament with prizes/etc. Teams and single-player brackets... We *are* looking for more, but we have a very tight quality control for recruiting so that could be why you don't see us posting recruit messages on the forum. Its certainly true that seekers beat LRM in a straight up fight on a cost-for-cost basis. Of course, LRM can do lots of things while seekers can do very few things in a battle. I've beaten people doing LRM-spam with seekers in a "non competitive" game, but I would have won with many other tactics in those games...heh. Personally, I don't even bother to post in the "true" negative threads...Why bump them? Let them die an ugly death. I love the game. If the enemy focuses on my flak (and keeps their strikecraft away till flak dies)...Thats fine, the flak are great tanks! By the time most of the flak is dead, the enemy fleet has been decimated...Flak is also very easy to remake and spam ;).

90%+ of games I play as vasari, the resource I am strained for is crystal. I don't know about you but I seem to find many more metal neutral extractors than crystal, although that could be untrue and I just "perceive" it that way since I am strapped for crystal. 80% LRM, 20% flak will demolish any equivalent supply/cost force of light frigates (add as many carriers as ya want there too, keeping supply/cost the same for both forces).
