Crash: Elemental WoM Boots to black screen then crashes in Elemental Game Series Stardock Forums

I've been trying to get the original Elemental to run for about a week now and would appreciate any help or ideas. When I boot the game it opens to a black screen the cursor changes to the feather and then it crashes, I've tried every compatibility mode while running it as an Administrator. Searching online I could find no possible fixes I know its an old game and those can be very difficult but not impossible to get running on newer computers frankly I'm just not very tech savvy if anyone kn
