And who is it.... in WinCustomize Talk WinCustomize Forums

that uploads all these wallpapers. I put up one recently and it's been uploaded 1800 times and there are six comments... one for every three hundred uploads! It's kinda kool I guess, but what's going on there? _

Ah, I got through thanks. I think the problem wasn't in the file names per se, but in the title, the name I gave to the wallpaper... had "cat's" in there. I guess that was the problem. thanks again

the files I am trying to upload are rain.zip and pre.jpeg the last few times Ive tried to upload I get disconnected from my server at the end of the upload. Several times I got disconnected from the wincustomize server at the very end??

Can you be a little more specific? I haven't had these problems in the past...I make my wallpaper, and name it, and zip it up. I make a lower res file and name it pre... a jpeg. Then I upload... that used to work.

Thanks for inputs and encouragement everyone. My last wallpaper got accepted and has been downloaded almost 1000 times today! It was given a 6 rateing. They highest Ive ever gotten. And I look at the RodiumX wallpaper that got a ten...oh well, you are right Apocalypse... best to keep working and try harder.

I submitted my last one as a zipped jpeg too... it's not yet approved... and my ratings are always 4 or 5 and I get more rejections than ones approved soo, it's good to know that I can send zipped jpegs, cause they as you note are much smaller.

You don't get any e-mail or any other word if they are rejected. ok thanks lol... Ive only uploaded a few and the third one was rejected, and there was an email reply about why... thats why I got confused. Thanks again. So can I post screen shots from TV that I have "improved?" Anyone know? _

Well, sure, the making of the wallpaper is the Art. I guess what I was trying to say is that wallpapering may soon become really popular, because this particular choice seems, to me, to be highly expressive. It's easy, and highly visable, and catchy just to do it... something like that.

Art's a funny thing. A meme for sure, that people "catch." Personalizing your desktop, and especially choosing your wallpaper (sort of a "self for others") to see, really sounds like an art choice to me. Much more so than a clothes choice or a car choice, your monitor is a blank space, a tabla raza, just like everyone else's... until you choose.
