It does seem to me that alot has changed in the wallpaper section since the new format's come in.
congrats man! It's a milestone!!
I think it's wonderful that your friends ALL rejected his food. It's D's problem now, because obviously his war with you has caused him to lose face with everyone. If he comes and apologizes to everyone, then perhaps the group will accept him back. I kind of doubt it, because it's all too strange really. But the ball is in his court, and I wouldn't approach him. Just my 2 cents.
I occasionally post a photo at this online photo contest http://www.dpchallenge.com/challenge_index.php , called dp challenge. There is constant debate about the voting. The voting is on a scale of 1-10, and anyone can vote, who signs up. There are many who vote, who don't submit, or even own a camera. Often, the winning photo will have many low scores, 1's and 2's and 3's. I'm guessing that scoring and rating are games for some of us, and not an honest opinion.
There is a pretty cool advertisment out now for LandRover I think, where two college kids are walking along a highway talking about their future. One kid is saying how he's really into ceramics and that will be his major. Then a car comes along and they both hitch, and the car stops... they get in and it's soo nice in there. The ceramics major looks at his buddy and says, maybe I'll minor in ceramics. It's smile.
Jafo wonders just how old fIvE sPiDeRz really is...if he's a decade older than 'anyone'.... this ol' spider's 62 on the 13th!
I would have freaked if my kids ever hitch hiked and they are well grown now... everything's changed.
I hitched across the States two times, with no trouble... 'course that was in 1960. Jack Kerouac's novel On the Road had a lot to do with it. After a decade of Cold War and McCarthy, the hippie generation began first by moving onto the road, in the late 50's and early '60's. We had blind faith in each other. Anyone under 30 was safe, and worthy of respect. That lasted until 1969 and Altamont. So... Im the oldest person here, probably by a decade <img src="http://images.stardock
I came to DA through wincustomize, and I enjoy the site. It helps to pay the small fee and get the extra browsing features that come with membership. It takes a while to get know a little and browse folks galleries that you enjoy and leave comments. To my eyes there are some terrific artists posting there, and many good conversations. I think DA has done a good job with their devfavs and devwatches... they really allow participants to get to know each other's work over time. jmo.
I appreciate this thread, and marveled long ago (in dog-years) that there seems to be one comment for every 300-400 downloads... and WHO is doing all this downloading with no comments? I was pretty much told that this is normal NEWBIE! This seems true, and I just make walls (the easy one's that anyone can make with a digital camera), but I have gone back and rated the skins I use, and left messages to those super skinners that have cheered me for years... thanks again! For a laugh h
well said.
Wow! That is amazing. And thank you for all the amazing works you have contributed here.
Apocalypse_67: very sneaky answer It's a love bomb!
uploaded one of my low key walls. It's really a nice one!
Thanks... I wish this had been up before I made an ass out of myself a couple of months ago. My apologies.
Whenever I try to download nothing, I always get something instead of nothing... I'm having the same trouble
Jafo never sleeps
Yeah Jafo, I can see that you must see a torrent of wallpapers! I do wish that winCustomize would consider a photo-wallpaper category though. Many people I think, use a customized browser from Stardock that just leaves a cool, hip, timely, political, lovely, wallpaper up as a screensaver, like a personal statement, whenever they walk away from their computer. And for sure you all would get a bazillion submissions, and then someone would have to edit (like you are doing!),

So HELP me here please! Are photo wallpapers welcome here? Will they receive equal, normal, fair appraisal? What is the verdict? How does Wiccustomize want it? _
#49 by Citizen dundalk120 - 1/8/2004 6:28:39 AM I don't understand why you have a rating system anyway. I have seen skins get a 9 that I though were terrible, while other skins were given a 5 that I though were terrific. When your dealing with taste, there is no accounting for it. As the saying goes. "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". Also, as has been indi
Not all of the on-going 'issues' are the fault of the targets, but the fault of those with the 'guns' I agree with this.
